Elite Mobile
Based on recent customer reviews, Elite Mobile draws heavy criticism as a Vodacom third party sales partner. Customers repeatedly describe outbound agents promising cheaper migrations or restructured packages, then receiving invoices hundreds of rand higher, plus pro rata charges, handset instalments and value added subscriptions they never approved. Persistent cold calling, sometimes dozens of calls daily despite opt out requests, is described as harassment. Follow up is weak, with promised call recordings, credits and callbacks rarely delivered. Isolated positive comments praise in store handset and accessory range.

False impression from Sales Department and Incorrect Billing I upgraded my contract on 29 April after speaking with Timothy from Elite Mobile. He explicitly told me the new contract would start at the beginning of May to avoid any mid month activation and pro rata billing. We waited for delivery because I was told there was a stock shortage on the new phone — and I accepted that on the assurance that there would be no pro rata charges. Despite this, my June statement shows: - A pro rata charge for May - A full contract fee for June In effect, I was charged almost double for the period, which is exactly what I was told would not happen. This feels like false sales assurance and a failure to honor what Vodacom/Elite Mobile committed to at point of sale. I re**** on Elite Mobile's promises, and therefore want the following: - A credit for the pro rata amount billed for May (and any knock on overcharge), The matter has been sent to them on 7 July 2026 and is still not resolved.

This reviee is to bring to your attention the *****ulent sales agents that mislead customers into contracts. On the 23rd of July, your consult called to verify my numbers and clarify that the call was not an upgrade but rather to lower my account bill with vodacom, I have the full phone call conversation recorded. It was concluded that the bill will go lower with +/- R100. From R1600 to R1500, And no added subscription and other changes to my current contract. However, on the 1st of July the email received entailed additional charges, From R1600 to R1990 bill for July. I have canceled the upgrade with your customer service but I am still to pay that additional R300 on my bill which I did not agree to. Please advise on what must be done now with this incurred extra charge and such agents who chase sales instead of customer satisfaction. Regards. MP Thakhane

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding a call I received from one of your agents on 24 June 2026. During the call, the agent informed me that my contract had "gone down" and explained that my monthly payment would decrease from R1,500 to R1,300. I repeatedly asked the agent whether there was any catch or whether I would be required to pay any additional costs, as I cannot afford any increase in my monthly expenses. Each time, I was assured that there were no additional charges. To my surprise, I have now received my Vodacom statement reflecting an additional R300, bringing my monthly bill to R1,800. This is the exact opposite of what was explained to me during the call. At no point did the agent inform me that this was an upgrade or that it would result in higher monthly charges. Had I been told that my account would increase, I would never have agreed to the transaction, especially given the current economic climate. I request that you urgently investigate this matter by reviewing the call recording from 24 June 2026. I believe I was misled, and I ask that this matter be escalated immediately. I also request that my account be restored to its previous terms and that any charges resulting from this misrepresentation be reversed. If this matter is not resolved promptly and fairly, I will have no alternative but to seek legal advice and pursue the appropriate channels to protect my rights as a consumer. I look forward to your urgent response. Lesego Kgoadi

Was contacted in Feb 2026 by one of their sales agents who wanted to sign me up for a sim upgrade. I in turn said and I quote" let me discuss this with my wife first and I'll get back to you". They went ahead and did the upgrade against my say so. Last week when I called them, they were unable to provide me with evidence about the call. They said that the system show that I agreed. They also said that they would get back to me, which never happened. The voicenote has supposedly gone for scrutiny or so they told me. Thing is, how do you do things without the customers agreeing to it. I have no desire to extend my cellphone or Sim card contract.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Elite Mobile. Despite having registered my number on the National Opt-Out Database, I continue to receive unsolicited sales calls from your company. This is frustrating enough, but the conduct of your call centre staff made the situation significantly worse. The agent first contacted my high school-aged son, whose contract is linked to mine. Her manner with him was abrupt and unprofessional. When she subsequently called me, I explained that she had been rude to my son and that I was not interested in whatever was being sold. Rather than respecting my wishes and ending the call, she persisted in a ****y and confrontational manner. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to a team lead named Kayroon. Before the transfer, I could clearly hear the agent telling her colleague, "Kayroon, she wants to talk to you," indicating that the team lead was sitting nearby and likely able to hear the interaction taking place. What is most concerning is that a team lead could listen to such poor-quality customer engagement and not intervene or provide guidance. Sales calls require professionalism, respect, and the ability to read a customer's response. This agent demonstrated none of those qualities and, in my opinion, is not competent to be conducting sales calls on behalf of your company. The combination of disregarding the National Opt-Out Database, contacting my child, and the unprofessional behaviour displayed by both the agent and the apparent lack of coaching oversight has left a very poor impression of Elite Mobile.

Spammers of note. I get at least 5 to 8 calls A DAY from Elite mobile, 7 out of 8 times they just drop the call, and one of the 8 times they want to sell me a contract I do not want. How is this a workable business model? I did not give them permission to call me, and what they are doing borders on harassment.
