Bad service from A to Z

Myself and my daughter purchased a Mercedes Benz w205 from Kia Northcliff from Mimi the sales rep, the service was horrible from day 1 and management had to intervene. The vehicle was delivered at my daughter’s work with no checks that took place. We had a breakdown a month ago and realised that the vehicle doesn’t have a wheel spanner jack and any run flat kit. We escalated the issue to Mimi via WhatsApp it took her over a month to come back to us and said she can’t do anything using an AI constructed response claiming that we took too long to complain. Before we picked up the vehicle it was taken to a Panelbeater for a few repairs. On delivery there wasn’t any checks done to make sure we got everything that came with the car. Can this please be rectified

Financed vehicle retained for over a month without resolution

I purchased a used Ford Figo from Kia Tygervalley in April 2026. At its first service on 23 July, Ford recorded an engine knock requiring further investigation, front brake pads measuring 2 mm, worn brake discs and a cambelt recorded as due. I returned the vehicle to Kia Tygervalley on 30 July for assessment. More than a month later, I have received no written diagnosis, repair decision, acceptance or rejection of responsibility, or completion date. The dealership repeatedly relies on the vehicle having travelled approximately 3,673 km and having passed a roadworthy and “125-point check”. However, the documents provided contain no completed inspection checklist, component measurements, findings or technician sign-off. Instead of providing a formal written outcome, the dealership continues requesting an in-person meeting to “go through the vehicle”. The vehicle has been available to its workshop throughout this period. The matter has now been escalated to WesBank and MIOSA. I have requested cancellation of the sale and unwinding of the linked finance agreement. The core issue is not a misunderstanding. It is the failure to provide documented findings, accountability and a resolution after retaining a customer’s financed vehicle for more than a month.

Kia and Liquid Capital- Total ****mers!

Complaining form a dealership. We acquired a 2021 Kia Sportage for our floor. Kia Roodepoort confirmed the car has an extended service plan until October 2028 or 120 000. This confirmation was done BEFORE selling it to the new owner. Now, a year later, Kia and Liquid Capital does not want to honor the service extension as the car changed owners. The plan is linked to the car and the VIN nr, but still they refuse? This leaves us as a dealer in a difficult position, because the car was sold with a service plan extension? Liquid Capitals staff are also very rude and arrogant over the phone when queried. STAY AWAY from Liquid Capital!

Don't care and half job

My car went for a service still within maintenance plan. They didn't check anything i requested them to do. Brakes still sound and feel like metal on metal. I was told it is the tyres needing replacing. Tyres aren't even a year old. My electronics & screen needs an upgrade. Not done. My car still shows it needs to be serviced. They said they would contact us the next day. Still waiting. My car had a shody wash. Shocking. When my husband collected the car the front passenger seat was completely flat like someone had been sleeping in it. At least put the seat back in its upright position. They dont car. Leave your car there for staff to have a nap if you want.

Service from hell

I will never refer anyone to Kia Roodepoort.I had issues with my car, when I called Kia Roodepoort I did not get assistance that I was looking for, instead I was sent from pillar to post. When the call was referred to a service manager buy the name Manni, I expected a positive response/ better results instead he gave wrong advise😞 I had to call another for assistance which exceeded my expectations.

Disappointed by service from Kia Brackenfell

My car Kia Sportage 2024 model has a warranty claim on 49000km because of a double clutch issue. Firstly we waited 3 weeks for the parts and were told we can drive the car as it was safe to drive, we are now booking it in and we were told it’ll take 3 days to fix bare in mind this is our daily vehicle we don’t have multiple cars asked for a courtesy vehicle as this is not our fault, we were told this is a Kia South Africa issue and we must sort it out with them… when Kia in Brackenfell could surely have gone the extra mile and made this call to Kia South Africa to resolve.

Bad service KIA Weltevreden Park

On 21 July 2026, I booked my vehicle for its75,000 km service at KIA Weltevreden Park, and my appointment was confirmed for 24 July. This gave the dealership several days to prepare and obtain any required authorization. Despite this, when I arrived, I was kept waiting until approximately1 PM, only to be informed that my vehicle would not be serviced because the authorization had not been received. I find this completely unacceptable. Additionally, I was never notified that an annual service was due in February. No reminder by phone, SMS, email, or otherwise was received. As a customer, I did my part by booking in advance and arriving on time, but my time was not respected and no resolution was provided. Additionally, this situation caused unnecessary inconvenience, loss of valuable time, and travel expenses. I respectfully request a prompt written response addressing why I was not notified, what immediate steps will be taken to service my vehicle, whether Kia will arrange collection and delivery, and what responsibility Kia will accept for any damage that may occur. I trust Kia South Africa values its customers and will work toward a fair and practical solution
