Faulty parts and false warranty claims
I took my car to Benoni citi VW coz it was giving me water pump problems. They changed the water pump twice within a space of a year but it still gave me problems even after the second time. When I took it back to them for the third time with the same problem they told me I'd have to pay from my own pocket coz my car was out of warranty yet they claim their parts come with a 2 year warranty. Never buy parts from VW coz they sell faulty parts and their warranty is basically useless.

VW staff do not know the difference between a main plan and warranty
I'm confused. I have a maintenance plan for my VW T-cross after taking it to VW Soweto several times to report an issue soon after getting a service I was told there are no issues. Finally taking it for a 3rd time I was told the clutch needs to be replaced. I said I had a Maintance plan they said I must pay R19000 upfront because I don't have a warranty. I am shocked that the people who work at VW do not know the difference between a warranty and Maintance plan because my clutch should be covered. They are also telling me to pay R1000 for my car to be released even though I told them I reported issues several times soon after my service. This is the worst treatment I have ever received as a car owner and I have been a loyal VW customer. Maybe I'll switch to BMW. Call me on ***

Thread cautiously, watches go missing! So disappointed!!!!
I went to service my vehicle at VW Tableview, Cape Town. I discovered that my watch was missing (Fossil Navy Blue with a metal strap). I called them to enquire and could not get through the service adviser, and after trying several times with no luck, I eventually decided to send an *** and I only received feedback on Tues afternoon from the branch manager who advised that they have looked and couldn't pick up anything untoward. I am not sure what this means since my question was specific to a watch which was in the arm rest compartment. I arrived at the dealership I spoked a lady driving my vehicle around, not sure what she was doing but within the precinct of the dealership.

VW T-CROSS
I bought a T-Cross in 2022 and had to trade it in in 2024 because it was giving me problems and no one wanted to for them. Then in 2024 I got another one and thought that my problems will be over, not knowing that I was getting myself into another one. I reside in Mahikeng and purchased one here at the Mahikeng dealership. The same problems I had with the first one are the ones I experienced a month ago. I was treated like a piece of **** and just next to nothing with men who are managers there. In August 05th 2026 at a mileage of 54 000, that car started, it didn't want to engage the gears, I was stuck on Mandela Drive with the kids inside taking them to school. They towed it in at the very same dealership, and later that week I was told that the problem is with the gearbox and now I have to pay 32k in order for them to get it fixed. Mind you, I'm still under warranty and up to date they have not provided me with anything that I can refer to regarding the warranty. I'm still without a car and am expected to keep on paying for it. I went to Absa for assistance and they told me that they can't help me since I don't have an extended warranty cover with them. Why would I take one whilst I'm still covered? Like, how? VW SA is of no assistance with regard to this and apparently I'm not the one with such a problem and from the same dealership.i no longer know what to do as I was written an email stating that I need to come pay for the car as they can't it at their premises anymore. Please, I need assistance. I was told that the problem was and is with the clutch plate and the warranty does not cover for it. But the problem that I have with them is that I do not know what is and what is not covered. And they cannot provide me with that.

My experience with Volkswagen South Africa has been extremely disappointing
My experience with Volkswagen South Africa has been extremely disappointing. After a routine oil service at VW Lenasia, my vehicle developed a ticking engine noise that was not present before the service. Despite returning the vehicle and reporting the issue, I was quoted almost R18,000 just to strip the cylinder head and investigate the problem. I expected better workmanship, accountability and customer service from an authorised Volkswagen dealership.

The nightmare that is AUDI
After an entire month and half ordeal of being without my vehicle while it was being repaired I eventually received it back damaged. This epitomizes the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and brilliant after sales service.

Bad experience
Last year November my car was delaying to start then i took it to tri-sec Volkswagen trichard they charged me R6000 to fix the issue that was on the cylinder 3 later after 6month the car is doing the same problem today I decided to take the car back to the I found the man by the name Hendrik he told me I need to pay for diagnosis for them to check the issue , how can I pay for diagnosis amount of 1900 to for re work on the car because the car came back with a same issue is this fair enough to pay for the same issue twice?

WORST EXPERIENCE FROM VW
Not sure where to start ,I bought my new TSI polo 2024 model and have never experience any peace of mind. Started with having a sound on the wheels, took the car in and was charged and the problem never went away, one time when driving off at work I noticed an error EPC and then I called them and my car was taken for over a week without checking it and only for them to tell me it needed just spark plugs..On Saturday my car didn’t want to swich off and the key got locked in the ignition. Called their roadside assist for more than 5 hours without any kind of help. No technician were available to assist me..its always A PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER ONE .Not even sure what their warranty covers for because its always not covered and I have to pay cash. For a one year old car that my husband bought for me and the kids we are not really having any joy and we wont even advice our enemy to buy this brand.IM SUPER FURIOUS WITH THEIR BAD SERVICE.IN PARTICULAR VW WITBANK
