Thread cautiously, watches go missing! So disappointed!!!!

I went to service my vehicle at VW Tableview, Cape Town. I discovered that my watch was missing (Fossil Navy Blue with a metal strap). I called them to enquire and could not get through the service adviser, and after trying several times with no luck, I eventually decided to send an *** and I only received feedback on Tues afternoon from the branch manager who advised that they have looked and couldn't pick up anything untoward. I am not sure what this means since my question was specific to a watch which was in the arm rest compartment. I arrived at the dealership I spoked a lady driving my vehicle around, not sure what she was doing but within the precinct of the dealership.
