Dropped after 6 years
I am soo hurt and disappointed by the behaviour of Spark School accounts department đź’”. I've been with the network since 2020 have never missed a single payment for both my kids. Life happens to all of us and I'm currently facing a retrenchment at work. I've been trying to explain my situation to the accounts department , retrenchment is a process and I'll make payment as soon as I receive a payout but no all they want to know is when will I be making a payment. My kids are now terminated and no one is even clarifying to me how to proceed forward so that my kids don't have to repeat a grade, all I'm getting is " you signed a contract" I'm soo disappointed that after 6 years of loyalty I can't even get grace why take my kids out of school? I've been paying all these years what makes you think I won't honour my payment now? But anyway it's fine I'll pick up the pieces and move on.

Spark School department doesn't know their Job
If I could give 0 stars I would. *********** admin, shocking service when dealing with queries, and no one can explain their own billing. *** was supposed to be closed and settled, now they can't explain an outstanding balance but expect me to chase them. Very disappointing for a school with this reputation.

Spark school has no empathy.
My daughter has been with spark weltevreden park primary since grade R - she's now in grade 2. I have never missed a payments and ran in any arrears now in June I spoke to Ntokozo Nkosi <***> and asked her to cancel aftercare for my daughter due to a sensitive reason mentioned on the email sent to her, well Ntokozo told us that we have to give 3month notice and there is nothing she can do - though the matter at hand was unforeseen and unplanned. she just made it clear that no matter our reason that is not her problem she wants the money if not 3 months was app****. today 13-10-2026 I follow up with her and she still insists on getting the money anything else she does not care about. I need urgent help with this matter because it is serious and Ntokozo does not care about the Parants of Sparks - she has made that clear to me on the emails.

Unreasonable Financial Exclusion of Learners Despite Resumed Payments – SPARK Centurion
I am disappointed with how SPARK Centurion has handled my family's financial difficulties. After a period of unemployment, I have secured employment and we have resumed payments towards the outstanding school fees. We have never intentionally avoided our financial responsibilities and remain willing to settle the arrears but within a reasonable time , not full amount. Despite our circumstances being explained and payments resuming, SPARK is insisting on full settlement of the arrears and has instructed us to collect our children from school, with only about three months remaining in the academic year. I acknowledge the outstanding debt, but I find this approach inconsiderate given that we are actively trying to recover financially and meet our obligations. I believe a reasonable arrangement could allow the children to complete the academic year and receive their final reports while we continue addressing the arrears. I request that SPARK management urgently reconsider this decision, allow the children to complete the school year, and engage with us on a realistic way forward.

Discipline Should Guide a Child, Not Break Their Confidence
I am extremely concerned about the way minor incidents involving my son are being escalated. He was accused of “backchatting,” yet when I asked the teacher exactly what he had said, I was told his response was simply, “Okay.” I understand he should follow instructions promptly, but calling that backchatting feels disproportionate. On another occasion, he was removed from class for asking another learner for a pen, resulting in him missing the lesson. The following day, another issue was escalated because he brought flavoured still water to school, including a reflection form. As the parent who provides what he takes to school, surely I should simply have been informed that flavoured water is not permitted. These incidents occurred across consecutive days and involved different teachers. I support discipline and will correct my child when necessary, but discipline must be reasonable and educational, not punitive over every minor mistake. Constantly labelling and escalating small incidents risks damaging a child’s confidence and making school feel like a place of punishment rather than learning. As a mother of boys, I am increasingly concerned about how boys with strong personalities are managed. I have raised my concerns with the school in writing and, at the time of this review, have not received a response.
