Gooday
Gooday My name is Phumzile Mngadi recently opened a Markham account at Gateway mall about a month ago, when I download the Bash App noticed that there is a subscription of R32 for something called my kitchen Digi. I then went to Markham stores in Gateway to enquire about it was advised it's was added when I opened the account I asked who authorized it they said let call customer service for them to remove it because it will be a monthly thing mind nobody has an answer as to who add that subscription. Called customer service spoke with a lady called Bonnita McComy ref no *** was advised for that to happen I need to be verified which I obliged and the lady asked me random questions and said I failed and need to call back with my bank statement and copy of my ID. I then asked the lady why it is that hard to remove the subscription for something I didn't ask for on my account she got so defensive and said she will lock my account. When I woke up today my account was locked.

Markhams bad quality of Suits
We bought a Slim Suit on the 11 of September 2026 for my sons Matric Farewell. On the day of the Matric Farewell that was the 16th of October when he put it on we noticed that the one arm seam was loose, however there was no time to go exchange the suit due to all that had to be done. On the 18th of September we took the receipt and the suit back to Markhams and they refused to do a swap out due to the fact he had already worn it for once and we did not have the tag. Paying R1 231.34 for something that was not up to standard, he could not move freely due to knowing there was something wrong and not getting any compensation just a attitude is unacceptable.

Bad service and false advertising
Good day, My name is Mukhethwa, I reside in Heidelberg Gauteng, last week on Wednesday on my husband's birthday I decided to go to Markham store in Heidelberg mall to buy him something. When I arrived I did my shopping without even being asked if I need assistance but it didn't really bother me. When it was time to go pay I get to the till and two ladies are selling a phone to one gentleman which it took them more than 15 minutes while I was standing there . They didn't open another till and knowing the area I stay at if it was a white person he/she was going to be assisted promptly. There was a sale of up to 50% , I got two items (jacket and a blazer) when I get to the till I'm told the blazer price just went up now and I said but that's the price I saw on the item and you are only telling me know that I want to pay , she took that item and took off the sale price and she continued as if nothing happened, there was no we are sorry but just an arrogant lady being the till. That for me it's false advertising cause you had the whole day to remove the price tag and cut the correct one since I went to the shop late. I felt disrespected and the lady lacks customer service and I'm willing to answer any question you might have for me. Kind regards

Poor Service and Invasion of privacy
The most shocking shopping experience I have ever had at Markhams Fourways Mall. I am busy fitting items and this guy called Mita that works at Markhams comes and asks what am I fitting and I reply to him and say 2 formal trousers and then he opens to check and at that time my trouser is halfway on my knees....is this what Markhams does to its customers? I am really ****ed. I know my money is just a drop in the ocean for a big retail store like Markham, but please can you have the decency of respecting your clients. Trust me I am not writing this to get the guy fired but you definitely need to do something about this especially by me as a customer...dont fire the guy but he needs to learn some manners. If you suspect that someone is *****ing, you wait until they finish then you search them properly I would have not resisted....I did proceed to purchase a Trousert it must be notedm

"Good account, poorly timed pressure to spend"
I've held a TFG Money account for years and always paid on time, never defaulted once. Last year I went through a difficult financial period and made a point of settling my account in full rather than keep using it - something I was proud of. Recently I received an email warning that my account would be closed if I didn't shop again within a month. As a loyal, responsible account holder who was simply taking time to get back on my feet financially, this felt less like helpful communication and more like pressure to spend before I was ready. I understand accounts need to stay active, but a message that considers customer history and circumstances - rather than a blanket closure threat - would go a long way. Disappointing experience from a brand I've supported for years.
