Refund

Renault in Roodeport has a bad service , I am still waiting for my refund , from the mistake they made of ordering a wrong rear door glass. They were quick to ask for money and very annoying when they have to refund.

Fitting a reconditioned gearbox on a new car

Reconditioned gearbox fitted against rejection - 2937km failure - *** I purchased a Renault Triber in June 2026 from Renault Centurion. Vehicle broke down with gearbox noise at only *2937km on 07 September 2026* - VIN MEERBC*** - ***. Vehicle has been at Renault Centurion for *38 days* to date. *What happened:* 1. I reported grinding noise - Diagnostic CLIP showed no gearbox fault (as confirmed by Service Manager Allan - diagnostic cannot detect mechanical noise) 2. Renault quoted 14 Sept for reconditioned gearbox from outsourced company - I rejected reconditioned in writing on 14 Sept 3. Renault app**** ***/*** for REPLACE with new gearbox - Approved 30 Sept, then rejected 13 Oct without explanation 4. Service Manager provided serial numbers: Original factory box SG1 201 E*** vs Present box SG1 201 E*** (different number = full swap, not internals) 5. Pictures of E*** show old sealant, dirt, marker pen - not new 6. This morning Service Manager admitted: "Renault SA are making use of a high standard institution company to recon these units" - Confirms reconditioned Renault SA claims this is original box repaired with new internals, but evidence shows reconditioned swap. I refused to collect because I rejected reconditioned and fear failure after warranty expires. MFC Account - Ref *** - No payment holiday granted despite 38 days loss of use. MIOSA Case ***/*** lodged - awaiting Recommendation. I request Renault SA to fit brand new gearbox as per original approval ***, not reconditioned. Tumiso - *** ***

Car seats

If I could send a voice note I would because the treatment from Renault Melroses warranty Clerk Nox is slack. I brought my new car for a service a month ago and presented that the car is only 3 months old but the car seat stitching is ripping. I've been following up with her since and she keeps saying she's waiting for a code from her warranty department. Im the one doing the follow up as my seats are getting worse. More over everything, why are my seats tearing yet this is a new car. Very disappointed

Did this happen cause I am female ?

Renault Lotus fourways please come to the front of the class ..... Some serious questions to be answered Issued without prejudice Earlier this year I took my car for a 75000 km service and was called by the service agent to say my battery needed to be replaced and that the shortfall is 550 I told her at the time that I didn't have the money and if I brought it in the next time would I just pay the same amount she indicated yes. In August I took the vehicle to do this and then told that the cost to replace is 2000 and something and that I am not covered. I request telephonic recordings of which I am told that they no longer have it The above I accepted and moved on Now motus fourways amongst the several other unprofessional issue I would like to talk about the quote that was given to me for my module clutch replacement which was handed to me on Friday afternoon which indicates its binding for seven days at a cost of almost 20 000 I came back on Tuesday the following week and was given another quote of which I brought in the old quote and said it's a 4000 extra difference Your service manager took my old quote and squashed it and put in in the bin and then said that's a warranty quote due to me being a female I didn't argue as I am one person in your dealership with no male protection and went on to pay the new quote with a discount that is laughable. My question is as follows If I was a male would you have squashed the quote If I was a male would you honour this quote as it was a binding quote for 7 days The dealership principal has issued an apology and indicated in person that she cannot refund me the 4000 although it's their fault due to financial loss This seems to be an ethical issue as well as a ************** since I don't think if I was a male the service manager would have squashed my quote. Renault please provide answers. This is only but some of the issues experienced, let's not talk about the fact that the dealership manager promised feedback on Tuesday close of business and only provided it on Wednesday after me going to do after a follow up after my repair was done.

Renault Is Failing Its Customers

Renault Clearwater are the worst ever! I had an overheating car and happened to be nearby; I drove past for assistance. They refused to help me and chased me away and told me to make a booking, which I did, but they gave me a faraway date. When my car went in, they called me and told me I need to replace the entire engine for R200,000.00! I said they're crazy because that's a price for another car, and it's way beyond the current value of my car. I had to beg them to share the report or inspections that led to that conclusion. As someone with a bit of car knowledge, I asked them questions, which they failed to answer. They gave me a runaround, and I decided to fetch my car (still driving) and took it elsewhere. All they know is to make profit and cash in as much as possible. They don't even offer advice and help customers understand the situation; all they do is guess work!!! Their other branch in Princess put the wrong spark plugs the one time they serviced my car. I don't trust Renault agents anymore, and I'll never buy their brand again, nor advise anyone to buy from them. Their aftermarket service is the pits.

Gross Incompetence, Zero Communication, and Negligence – Renault Northcliff (Motus Group)

I am appalled by the atrocious service, lack of technical competence, and utter disregard for customer care at Renault Northcliff (Motus Group). Back in June, I brought my car in for a coolant leak. I was charged roughly R4,500 to replace an EGR pipe, which failed to fix the problem. I had to return three separate times before they claimed the actual issue was the thermostat housing, which they resealed. Fast forward a few months: the exact same coolant leak returned. I dropped my car off last week Monday. After their initial inspection, the technicians claimed they couldn’t find any issue. I had to physically go to the dealership and confront the manager just to get them to do their jobs and investigate properly. Horrifyingly, when the manager instructed them to strip the car to find the root cause, I was told it would be "too big of a job for them to strip and find the issue." Since when is a primary manufacturer dealership unwilling or unable to diagnose its own vehicles? When they finally diagnosed the issue—a valve near the EGR pipe and thermostat—they promised a quick turnaround. It has now been over 9 days without my car. I was never contacted with an update. I had to physically walk into the dealership again on Monday, only to be casually informed that the part had to be ordered from France and would take 14 to 21 working days to arrive. No proactive communication, no updates, zero accountability, and absolutely no courtesy or loan vehicle offered while I am left stranded without transport. Whenever I call, the receptionist hides behind the standard "the manager is in a meeting" excuse. The manager only acts when I physically show up and force an interaction. Renault Northcliff and Motus Group have displayed sheer incompetence and a total lack of empathy for their customers. I have not been given a courtesy/loan vehicle and a clear, binding timeline for when my car will be fully repaired at no additional cost for their repeated misdiagnoses.
