*********** staff! Incorrect medication issued!
On Monday 26 October 2026 I visited this pharmacy to collect my script as I needed a new dosage. I was given the incorrect dosage and paid R4301! Only once I got to my office to place the medication in the fridge do I notice the incorrect dosage and returned it during my lunch hour. I was given the correct dosage and had to pay the correct amount of R3059 and was told the first payment of R4031 will be refunded and will take 24-48hrs to be refunded. Its now four days later and still no refund! I made contact with the branch and was told I was informed incorrectly and that the refund will take 3-7 days!!! Why am I being inconvenienced due to your lack of competence??? I am now under financial stress because first you gave me the incorrect dosage resulting in the incorrect payment and than providing inaccurate refund information. I want my refund prioritzed!! R4301 in this economy is not pennies!!!😡

Unacceptable stock management & zero communication on essential baby formula (Aptamil)
Dis-Chem advertises and supplies Aptamil baby formula products. Anyone with an infant knows how exhausting and delicate the process is to find a formula that actually works for a baby's stomach and digestion. After a lot of struggle, Aptamil was the ONLY brand that suited our child, and for a while, everything was fine. Then, stock on the shelves started dwindling. We initially assumed high demand from other parents, but after visiting multiple Dis-Chem stores, we discovered the reality: Dis-Chem is having severe sourcing issues and simply isn't restocking the product. What makes this completely unacceptable is the total lack of transparency and broken online system: Misleading Website: Dis-Chem continues to list Aptamil online. There is zero notice or warning anywhere on the website informing parents about stock issues, supply chain disruptions, or low availability. Inaccurate Stock Status: The website frequently displays "Low Stock" for a branch, prompting us to drive there in an emergency, only to arrive and find ZERO stock on the shelf.Indifferent Staff: When inquiring at multiple branches, we were met with zero empathy, unhelpful attitudes, and basic "sorry" responses—as if we were asking about a missing cosmetic item, not essential nutrition for a dependent infant. How do you justify leaving parents completely stranded without notice? If you advertised transparently or updated your system accurately, parents could make alternative plans in time instead of being caught in an emergency. You advertise that you stock this product. You fail to inform your customers when there are supply breakdowns, and your website stock indicators are wildly inaccurate. Shame on Dis-Chem for the lack of care and communication when it comes to infant essentials!

BAD SERVICE AND ATITUDE
I would like to write about the terrible service I received at Dis-chem clinic centurion mall. I went there today for baby immunization, they never told me to bring the birth certificate, and it was not the first time I went there, the nurse that was called to hear me out was very arrogant and refused to help me, she is short with short hair, I didn't get her name. She told me to go back and get the birth certificate that time I came with two kids and I told her I took time off work I cannot go back, this was not the first time I got bad treatment, I complained at the *** help desk but nothing was done about my complaint

Rudeness at Diskem
I bought a Wahl hairdryer from Diskem Clearwater and it was faulty. Darren, the manager, was very helpful and polite and arranged for a refund. The cashier on the other hand was so rude with a very bad attitude!!! She told me return after an hour if I want cash!!! I called Darren again and he sorted it out. They really need to train their staff on politeness, but a big Thank you to Darren, he is an asset to Diskem.

Dischem does not care.
It's seems that Dischem has a problem displaying prices . I was told that there is a licensing problem and that price tags could not be printed. What they could not explain is , why the items were not registered on their system. The item is sanitary pads ! Price gouging on Trifectiv is an ongoing issue. It's seems to me that Dischem is all about putting ptofit before people Shame on you.
