Claimed for CT scan I was not told about - no consent form, no cost disclosed
Title: Claimed for CT scan I was not told about - no consent form, no cost disclosed Good day, I am not happy with Morton and Partners. I went in to Christian Barnard Hospital on 02/07/2026 in Cape Town. They did a CT scan that I was NOT advised would be done. I was NOT given any forms to sign. I was NOT told how much it would cost, or what my medical aid would pay. Now they are claiming money from me and my medical aid for this CT scan. I have asked them for: 1. A copy of the consent form I supposedly signed 2. A copy of the doctor's referral for the CT scan 3. An itemised bill I did not give consent for this procedure or its cost, and I dispute the claim. I want Morton and Partners to investigate this and reverse the claim until they can show proof that I was informed and consented.

Amore Brits bad radiologist
Amore Brits the radiologist was so stroppy with me when my husband asked if i could join him to have his exrays taken for moral support. She told me its not allowed. I mentioned to her i have just been for radiology last week (at a different practice) and my husband was allowed inside , she said but"i don't allow it" She also didn't assist my husband with help getting up from xray , he came out of the room with more pain, unthoughtful no sympathy or empathy shown .

Morton and partners Riverland Disgusting treatment
Morton and partners Riverlands. Absolutely disgusting staff! Let's start with the young lady who gave me a mammogram. Put in a freezing room after to wait. I could here complaining to her manager about her how shifts where unfair. All while I'm dreading my outcome. They then tell me nothing, leave me waiting for an hour to tell me now we must do an ultrasound as they have seen something. Then the African arrogant, rude egotistical manager ends up doing my ultrasound. She's has zero empathy or respect. They then put me into another freezing room for 45 minutes telling me they need to do another ultrasound. You can imagine my anxiety. After another hour I see their radiology doctor.a woman cold unsympathetic and also couldn't give me any answers. So I spent from 11 am to 2pm there, spent over 2k and they can't tell if I have cancer. Nor do they care. They zero empathy or manners. I was treated awfully. Please ladies avoid at all cost. They should all get fired

medical services who just don’t care
I am writing to formally complain about an interaction I had today with a staff member named Ty, who handles MRI/MRA bookings for Morton and Partners. I contacted Ty to book an MRA. As someone unfami**** with the procedure, I asked a few clarifying questions about the booking process, including what my financial responsibility would be regarding my medical aid coverage. Rather than providing clear information, Ty became visibly irritated and spoke to me in a scolding, condescending tone. When I asked for clarity on the payment process, he told me I should already know what my medical aid covers, rather than offering any guidance. I remained calm throughout and asked him directly to show some patience and kindness, given how overwhelming this process already was for me. He did not. Instead, he repeated that it was my responsibility to know my medical aid coverage, and subsequently sent an email to the referring practice in which he again criticised me for asking about payment. By the end of the call I was in tears, embarrassed, and genuinely anxious about being treated by this practice. I no longer felt safe or comfortable proceeding with the procedure under their care and have since cancelled my booking. For comparison, the new practice I booked with handled the entire process with warmth and professionalism. They proactively explained the procedure, the co-payment, and the financial process without my having to ask, and checked in to make sure I understood and felt okay. This made the contrast in how Ty handled the situation even more stark. I understand that booking staff deal with administrative processes daily, but for patients this is often an unfami**** and stressful experience, particularly around medical procedures and costs. I would ask that this complaint be formally noted, and that Ty receive guidance on patient communication and professionalism. I would also appreciate a response outlining what steps will be taken to address this.

Morton mortifies !
Centric Radiology, a subsidiary of Morton and Partners, refused to give me a copy of my mammogram results. The Constitution and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) guarantee that you have the right to access information held by the state (and private entities) that is needed to protect or exercise your rights. This includes your medical records. I had to threaten the staff member with my lawyer, the PAIA act and a report to the HPCSA and Blouberg Netcare Hospital, in order to get a copy. The practise manager then responds to my email complaint, by alluding that my results weren't ready. This cannot be true as I had my mammogram done at 9am yesterday and asked for results a day later at 3pm. The staff at the front desk assured me they were in fact ready. Confusing, right ? I think that a better manner to handle this would be to check with staff what was aid, what happened, and take the time to CALL the client. An weak apology based on differing stories does not sit well with me. I have a right to my records and their staff should be better trained to assist clients.

Critical clinical red flags missed on my husband
Worst clinical care (radiology) one can ever experience at Morton and Partners at the Cape Town Medi Clinic !!! My husband was referred for a Doppler and MSK ultrasound as he had unbearable pain in his calf and leg . Could hardly walk . They did what we thought was a Doppler and charged us R2200.00 and told him everything was fine and he must do a muscular skeletal ultrasound for muscle or tendon injury when we get back to Jhb. A few days later after flight back to Jhb , and unbearable pain we proceeded to a radiologist once again in Jhb . They picked up that he had critical limb ischemia ( nothing to do with tendons or muscles ) and he was immediately referred to a vascular surgeon for a femoral bypass and thrombectomy. But everything “was fine “ as per the radiologist at Morton and partners . My husbands health, life and limb were put at risk . I thank God for the radiologist in Jhb who excercised a high standard of care and didn’t miss the red flags 🚩 unbearable pain and inability to walk and emergency referred him to a vascular surgeon !
