Absolutely terrible
IF I could have given a zero star I would. Pi by MTN is the worst service ever. You can't even phone them, the chat bod is useless and when someone finally come ( a Person called Gladys) then they don't know anything. I have ordered a e-sim, it didnt activate, they logged a ticket, no response and now I cant even get a refund. Absolutely useless, stay away, you will waste your money.

Worst Network Ever
I purchased a Home Internet Anytime Data which is geo locked to my address. After 2 days of usage I get a message that I have moved and that the service is barred. I did not move and my repeated messages to the help centre was to no avail. Their turnaround time is pathetic. I subscribed to the Mobility add on which allows the service to be used anywhere and still no joy. I received a message 4 days later that the tmy problem was solved and that the ticket is closed. I still dont have internet today that is after approximately 10 days of nointernet

Pathetic service
The service was great when signing up and having the SIM delivered, but unfortunately that is where the good service ended. On 25 September, I signed up for a 500-minute package at R78 per month. I paid the pro-rata amount for 25–30 September, as well as the full amount for October. Then, on 1 October, another debit order went off for both data and minutes. Since then, I have been trying to get answers regarding my refund, but getting assistance is extremely frustrating. You cannot simply call a call centre — you first have to deal with a chatbot that often does not understand the issue. Once you eventually reach an agent, a ticket is logged and then repeatedly "re-escalated." One agent advised that I would receive feedback within 48 hours. After 48 hours, I was then told it could take up to five days. Today is day five, and once again I have simply been told that the ticket has been escalated. At what point does someone actually take ownership of the problem and resolve it? Signing customers up appears to be quick and efficient, but resolving an *** or billing issue seems to be a completely different story. Is this a one-man-show support service, where every issue is simply escalated with no actual resolution? I would appreciate a proper response, confirmation of the amount that will be refunded, and a clear date for when the refund will be processed.

MTN’s PI service is an absolute disaster.
I have created a profile, yet I cannot actually log into the PI app or the website. I have repeatedly tried to reset my password, only to discover that the password-reset process is effectively useless because the OTP functionality simply does not work. I don’t receive the OTP at all. So I’m left in a ridiculous situation where I have an account I cannot access, a password I cannot reset, and a supposedly functional digital service that prevents me from doing either. For a company the size of MTN, this level of basic functionality is frankly unacceptable. Account login and OTP delivery are not advanced features — they are fundamental requirements of any customer-facing digital platform. What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of a straightforward way to resolve the problem. Customers should not have to repeatedly fight with a broken system just to access their own account. MTN really needs to get its PI service together. If you can’t reliably authenticate your customers, you don’t have a functioning digital service. Extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable.

Refusal of refund
The worst they can ever be, i paid for services i never used. they refuse to give me a refund and keep on attempting to deduct more money from my account although i cancelled my account. I want my money back!

Disappointed by Pi by MTN
I am very disappointed by Pi by MTN. I ordered a sim card on their site and paid the R50 that was due, this order was processed on the 4th of June 2026 but I only got my order today (08 July 2026), after over a month. During the wait I have been trying to contact them on the numbers they have provided and each number I called, the consultant would say they have no order that is connected to me or my account. On a different day, one of the consultants I spoke to said my sim card was delivered to a different address in a different province. Today when the sim card was delivered, the courier driver was very rude as well, accusing me of having my phone off meanwhile he dialed the wrong number. Now that I am trying to activate it by going on their site, I see that my account is deactivated and I would need to buy a new sim card and pay again for the new one. This whole thing of the Pi by MTN is a **** according to me. I am so disappointed cause not only did I wait for over a month for the sim card, I wasted my money buying it in the first place. I don't even how to reach them
