Bumpy start but Lenovo followed through and resolved my Legion Pro 5 issue

My new Legion Pro 5 began freezing and crashing within about a week of purchase. I spent weeks gathering diagnostic evidence and trying to get the fault resolved. During that time, cases were closed as "service complete" while the laptop was still crashing, and I received an assessment instruction that did not reflect the later technical correspondence. I was frustrated and felt that the seriousness of the problem was being missed. I escalated the complaint, and Lenovo ultimately took it seriously. Its team continued working on the issue and released a fix. Thulebona at Partserv confirmed the update to me on 23 September. I installed it that day, and the laptop has not crashed once since. I want this new review to reflect the whole experience, including the difficult start and the way it was resolved. Thank you to Jan at Lenovo, and Morne, Shouneez and Thulebona at Partserv for your communication, persistence and support. I appreciate the effort that went into finding a solution and following it through. The process was frustrating at first, but Lenovo came through with a fix. That response to an escalated complaint, and the stable laptop I now have, are why I'm giving five stars.

Impressive

I bought the Lenovo idealpad 305 laptop. 11years later the device is still working perfectly. Battery life on 60%, still using the original charging cable. Honestly I would recommend this brand to anyone. šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»

Unreasonable Repair Quote and Disappointing Customer Service

Lenovo's after-sales service disappointed me. Unreasonable repair quote and poor customer support.

Lenovo Fails

So this is a follow up on my previous Lenovo write up. So as to not write a book I will keep this short. My lenovo laptop hangs badly whenever it does an update. Basically it shuts down and takes 3 to 4 days to process and come right. After my last complaint (my first) lenovo responded and a technician contacted me to "fix" my problem. He wanted, and i reluctantly, gave him access to my laptop via anydesk. After a lot of looking he decided to "FIX" my problem by taking every one of my files and puttimg it on my external which means that if i need any work etc then i need to connect my external. So obviously this did not work as here i am again. I am not sure if this is the case with all lenovo or just mine but if it is just mine then it can only be defective in some way which means i cant have more than one file or app on the laptop at any given time. I will not write a post again but i would be very careful what brand of laptop you buy. PS - I will not give access to my laptop again as, 1) i dont trust giving access and 2) Nothing was achieved and nothing was sorted the last time. Disgusting

2 Laptops broken - Lenovo cannot repair and refuse refunds!

I purchased 2 of these laptops. BOTH have broken, within warraty. 1 - laptop hinge broke. I logged a return on takealot who fetched the laptop. They then send it to Lenovo. Lenovo sends it to Partserve. PartServe did not repair the Hinge. They sent it back to me, broken. I had to log another return. This time PartServe repaired the hinge, but sent the laptop back with the incorrect charger and the laptop was admin locked. I now have to log another return, 2 - the trackpad stopped working. Same story - Log return > Lenovo > PartServe. Partserve sent it back to me unrepaired. I had to log another return. This back and forth has gone on since 02 February. Neither laptop works and i have spent R17k on both. Also, when they return it to me, i had to pay an IT company to reinstall all software again. Takelot and Lenovo refuse to refund me for the laptops. I am stuck with an endless back and forth hoping they get repaired.

LENOVO IS THE WORST COMPANY TO PURCHASE A LAPTOP FROM!!!!

I have ordered four lenovo laptops, in the same month. Two of which are not working optimally, I have contacted Takealot and sent both laptops in for repairs - one laptop, nothing was done, after two weeks, the laptop was returned with the same issue. The second laptop, was with providers for over a month, and was returned in a worse condition that what it was sent in. I have logged returns again both requesting a refund - I am told that the issue cannot be dealt with takealot, but rather with the supplier, and that a refund cannot be promised. This is appaling, this entire process is holding up my business and my staff cannot work this way, the delays are ridiculous and there is no sight of resolution. Lenovo has attempted repairs on both laptops, twice now, and each time the devices are returning in a worse condition than when sent it. Lenovo is refusing to refund me for these laptops. we are back in May, both laptops have been taken to partserve and returned again, the laptops are scratched and damaged, the hinge on one has been fixed, however, there is now a software issue that doesnt allow me to use the laptop. I really do not know what more to do. This is pathetic, i have bought these laptops only for them to be in repairs back and forth since February!!!!!! HOW IS THIS OKAY???????? I am actively looking for other ways and means to complain because I am not getting any joy. At this point, do i just throw these laptops into the bin and incur costs to purchase new laptops? what do i do?????

Lenovo Onsite NBD Warranty

A 1 star here just because i had to choose a star. (Lenovo case ***) My client purchased a Lenovo next business day warranty which supposed to have a technician onsite the next business day if required. its been a week now and the "support" person (Mahlatse Kekana) keeps talking of eta on parts. This laptop was purchased from one of their Distributors in Midrand and even they cant assist with this matter. My company is about to lose a major client of ours due to their lack of urgency and incompetence. I'm not even sure if they will respond here either but I have to try as I'm not getting anywhere with their "support" team.

Lenovo Support / Products

I have owned a number of different branded laptops and the latest brand I purchased was a Lenovo (IdeaPad 3). I have had this laptop for a number of years now and my patience has come to an end. Every single time (from the very begining) the laptop does an update my Lenovo crashes. Sometimes it takes a day to come right and sometime it is longer. This time around it is 3 days with no signs of getting better. I have tried to contact lenovo support but you get directed and redirected to all the easy way outs for lenovo. How does a public forum correct a technical problem? I need to fix this laptop with a proper technician. When the update is done the computer becomes unresponsive, it hangs between pages (on browser), its take a very long time to open an app/program and when eventually in the program (excel etc) i can go make a cup of tea while waiting for the program to complete input etc. If I open multiple programs it sometimes does not open one of the programs and I need to click multiple time on the icon for it to eventually open. Even the Lenovo LSB does not open. I thought that to assist with this I would put in an SSD harddrive and i must admit that when the laptop works it is super fast but when there is an update nothing helps. I am frustrated and sick of this and with there being ZERO support from Lenovo how am I to solve this problem?
