I inherited a problem

I bought a 2023 Defender 110 in November 2025 from JLR Bloemfontein. In July 2026 it started leaking oil. I booked it in for checking with a JLR close to me and reported the matter to JLR customer care. After a bit of a fight trying to establish the actual cause of the leak I was eventually told that the car had a replacement of engine, turbo, alternator, intake manifold, engine wiring etc and that was not disclosed at the time of sale. Long story short the retailer is now refusing to take the vehicle back and settle the finance and repay the capital contribution. Customer care is on mute distancing itself from the matter, they can't even take their retailers to account. Now who do we trust when the so called reputable dealerships are letting us down like this?

PREMIUM DEALER BUT CHEAP CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have to rate this brand once again, because tell me why my vehicle has been standing unassisted at Land Rover Bryanston for over 75 days under an active dispute, and the level of corporate neglect is staggering. Firstly, this workshop attempted to repair a recurring PTU oil leak 5 separate times within a single year. Their clear inability to properly diagnose and cure the defect has now resulted in them implying I pay for a total replacement out of pocket or apply for goodwill as if its my fault, which I reject under the CPA. Secondly, there is a severe breach of billing integrity. Official invoice records show both I and my insurer were billed for a Turbocharger Gasket. However, the service advisor later stated explicitly in writing that the workshop "never worked on the engine." Now, they claim the turbocharger is leaking and expect me to pay for a new one. Either the work was never done (misrepresentation/*****), or it was done poorly and caused the current failure. Finally, they have completely breached their Duty of Care. *** tracking data shows my vehicle's battery and electrical system have been left completely flat and unpowered for 74 consecutive days in their possession. Jaguar Land Rover SA and the SMH Group management need to take immediate accountability for this absolute failure of workmanship and asset protection. Do yourself a favor and avoid this branch and brand because Land Rover South Africa tolerates such behaviors from its branches. #Disappionted

Bad experience poor swrvice

Took my wife's jaguar xf to have the windiw switch replaced and they replaced it after I has to wait for iver 2 months for theswitch to arrive. After they open thd switch they claimed that my wife broke the switch and therefore it's outside the warranty. She's had jaguars from 2003 march and we've never had a probkem. The cost of repairs came to R4394

Worst Service and Unwillingness to Assist

I reported my bad service by the dealership to Jaguar Land Rover and they sided with their dealership and decided to ignore my complaint. My car has been with Land Rover Centurion for more than a month for what was supposed to be a general service. They gave me an ETA of 14days which l was forced to accept without a courtesy vehicle. The ETA has been increasing weekly and has now gone beyond a month. Jaguar/Land Rover simply said, nothing can be done even though the vehicle is under extended maintenance plan sold by Land Rover Centurion!!

Refund my deposit !

I placed an order for a Brand new Defender last year June from JLR UMHLANGA and paid a deposit with finance in place . The brand had an issue and did not have stock and we had to wait for another vehicle to be built . When the new car was ready the finance had to be reapp**** for but this obviously would take time . To hold the vehicle the Salesman asked me to pay in a further deposit which i did . The bank has since paid them but now 7 months later the dealer is making excuse after excuse to return my R230000 deposit . It is absolutely disgraceful . This is why Jaguar is failing worldwide . Will never support this brand ever again .

Jaguar Landrover Have lost the Plot!

4 service items: 25000km service, software update, low battery warning and left rear shock mounting repair, and 8 days (2,2&4 days) booked in but only the service has been done. Constacted JLRSA but they have done NOTHING to assist either. This is my 2nd Landrover Disc Sport and it will be my last. My 1st had endless issues in 2023 with exhaust filters which JLR Fourways wouldnt/couldnt sort out, but at least JLRSA intervened with that. Complete lack of pride or support of their brands.

Poor service Bloemfontein landrover

Did a yearly service on my land rover defender at Land rover Bloemfontein on the 27th of May 2026. After the service my right hand front daylights does not come when driving and everyday before driving it show low battery. Car still under maintenance plan but its unacceptable to bring you car in for a service but when it comes from service there is warnings and lights not working.
