Dont use this business even if your insurer sends you to them

I would just like to update on this shady vehicle repair business. I've written a review on them before about their terrible repair on my vehicle. Their non exixtent quality control and their blatant lies from their manager and staff. They give a generic reply here on Hello Peter, that they will escalate the issue and be in touch to resolve. When the truth is they never contact you to resolve the issue, and they will in fact actively ignore you going forward.

Farber Coach Works (Montague Gardens): Shocking Technical Malpractice & Botched Safety Diagnostics on BAIC Vehicle

I am writing this to warn the public and insurance companies about the highly non-compliant workshop practices at Farber Coach Works Montague Gardens. My vehicle, a modern BAIC Beijing X55 under active factory warranty, was admitted to their facility following a front-end structural collision. As a BAIC Factory Approved Repairer, Farber is contractually obligated to follow strict OEM protocols—specifically running a clean diagnostic pre-repair scan prior to dismantling the vehicle to map out life-safety sensors, ADAS radar grids, and tracking fault histories. Not only did their workshop strip the vehicle blindly, but when challenged, their management claimed a pre-scan was "not necessary because the insurance assessor didn't ask for it."However, a digital audit of their own internal workshop files exposed a shocking level of technical incompetence. Farber had generated a "Pre-Repair Diagnostic Report" on 2026-08-24. The official printout reveals that their technician manually selected and executed the scan using a competitor brand’s software pathway: a CHERY OMODA 9 PHEV.Forcing an entirely different manufacturer's software profile onto a BAIC vehicle architecture flooded the vehicle's CAN bus system with artificial communication errors (U-codes), permanently *******ing the accident data baseline required by my insurer (Discovery Insure). When caught in this blunder, instead of rectifying the issue using proper localized BAIC interfaces, Farber chose to walk away from the job, telling my insurer they would no longer work on the car because I was "not comfortable" with them. They actively attempted to shift the blame to me for "delaying the claim," when the delay was entirely caused by their own workshop malpractice and lack of basic diagnostic understanding. If you own a modern, sensor-heavy vehicle, be extremely careful. Farber Coach Works prioritizes speed to teardown over vehicle safety engineering and manufacturer warranty compliance.
