EverAfter Studios
Based on recent customer reviews, EverAfter Studios elicits sharply divided experiences. Satisfied couples consistently praise the team's calm presence, friendly professionalism, creative eye, and ability to capture authentic, emotional moments on wedding and newborn shoots, often highlighting flexibility when plans change. However, a recurring theme among dissatisfied clients centres on undisclosed outsourcing of photographers, severely delayed gallery and video delivery, inconsistent or unresponsive communication, and concerns around editing quality, missing key moments, and accountability. For some, escalation to legal or consumer protection channels became necessary to obtain their materials.

It has now been 10 months since our wedding, and unfortunately our experience with EverAfter Studios has been incredibly disappointing. We paid the full amount upfront for their top package, trusting that we would receive the service and products we had paid for. Instead, we have spent the past 10 months chasing them for what is rightfully ours. Communication has been absolutely terrible. Calls and WhatsApp messages are repeatedly ignored, and everything from our sneak peeks to our wedding video has taken months longer than expected. We still do not have the wedding album that we paid for. We have even tried having our lawyer contact them because we were simply unable to get a response ourselves. When we eventually received our photographs, we were extremely disappointed to discover that important moments from our wedding were completely missing. There is not a single photograph of our flower girl or page boys, and significant moments such as the cake cutting and my husband’s speech were also missing. I even had black/blank photographs included in the link we were given. When we questioned this, we were told that they “hand pick the best moments.” Unfortunately, these were not minor or insignificant moments — they were important parts of our wedding day that we will never be able to recreate. The only time communication suddenly seemed to happen was when they believed that we had left a false review. In reality, it was simply another extremely unhappy client trying to get the service and products we had already paid for. We have also seen EverAfter Studios addressing complaints in newspapers and on talk shows, defending themselves publicly. From our personal experience, however, what matters is not the public explanation — it is how clients are actually treated when they have a problem. After the way we were spoken to by Aden, including being falsely accused, we were told that, to make up for the disrespect and the important moments that had been missed, we would receive all of our RAW images and that the missed moments would be re-edited. We have screenshots and records of our attempts to communicate, including unanswered WhatsApp messages and calls, as well as the correspondence regarding what we were promised. At this point, 10 months after our wedding, we are still waiting for products and services that we paid for in full. Your wedding photographs and video are not something you can redo. Once those moments are gone, they are gone forever. That is why choosing a wedding photographer and videographer is such an important decision, and why we feel it is important to share our honest experience. This review is not about wanting perfection. It is about communication, accountability, delivering what was paid for, and treating clients with respect. We sincerely hope that EverAfter Studios eventually fulfils what they promised us, but after 10 months, we cannot recommend them based on our experience.

We are incredibly disappointed with our experience with Ever After Studios and would never recommend them based on what we went through. On our wedding day, the photographers arrived late, which meant I never got any "getting ready" photos with my brides****s. We were promised our wedding photos within a certain timeframe, but they were delivered four months later than promised. During those four months, our messages and phone calls were mostly ignored. We received promise after promise that our photos would be delivered "soon," but those promises were never kept. When we finally received our gallery, it was another huge disappointment. The photos were disorganized, completely out of order, and filled with multiple duplicate images. Many of the photos appeared to have had little to no editing at all, despite paying for professional wedding photography. Even worse, there were many photos missing that we know were taken on our wedding day. After expressing our disappointment, we asked for all of the raw images so we could hire someone else to edit them. We even couriered our own hard drive to them, asking them to simply copy the files onto it. That was months ago, and we still have not received our hard drive back. We were so exhausted by the entire experience that we told them they could keep the wedding album and the six-minute wedding video that we had paid a significant amount of money for if they would just provide us with the raw files. They happily agreed and made no effort whatsoever to resolve the situation or provide the wedding video we had been so excited to receive. Yesterday was our one year wedding anniversary, and we still do not have the footage from one of the most important days of our lives. This entire experience has been frustrating, stressful, and incredibly upsetting. We trusted Ever After Studios with those memories, and they failed us at almost every stage—from arriving late, to poor communication, broken promises, delayed delivery, an incomplete and poorly prepared gallery, and still withholding our footage one year later ! We genuinely hope no other couple has to experience what we have. In our experience, Ever After Studios has been unprofessional, unreliable, and has shown very little regard for their clients after receiving payment.

I’m writing this review of EverAfter Studios to help other couples make informed decisions. My husband and I signed a written contract with EverAfter Studios for our wedding on 1 November 2025. From the outset, communication was inconsistent. As part of our package, a Zoom consultation was scheduled before our wedding. However, Aden did not attend the scheduled meeting. Despite my and my wedding coordinator’s requests to reschedule, another meeting was never arranged. As our wedding approached, I became increasingly concerned because there had been very little communication from them. It was only after I repeatedly asked questions during the week of our wedding that I was informed that Aden and Andre would not be attending, but subcontractors would be doing the photo and video for my wedding. Until that point, I had never been told that subcontractors would be photographing our wedding, nor had I agreed to this arrangement. The clause in our contract states “in the unlikely event”, but booking 3 weddings on the same day is not an unlikely event. Only being told days before our wedding that different photographers and videographers would be covering one of the most important days of our lives was incredibly upsetting. We had booked EverAfter Studios based on their portfolio and expected the photographers we had contracted with to be present. My concerns are not with the subcontractors, but with EverAfter Studios' communication, planning, and failure to disclose this significant change until I specifically enquired. On the morning after our wedding (2 November), I was sent the expected delivery timeline of 2-4 months for the edited photo gallery and 4-6 months for our video. Our contract also stated that we would receive 1,000+ edited photographs. It has now been 8½ months since our wedding, and we are still waiting for our wedding video. The photo gallery we eventually received contained fewer than the 1,000+ edited photographs agreed upon in our contract. To make matters worse, the Pixieset gallery containing our edited photographs was removed without any prior notice, explanation, or warning, leaving us without access to our wedding photographs. Throughout this process, communication has remained poor. We have repeatedly had to initiate contact ourselves, often without receiving clear answers or realistic timelines. After exhausting every reasonable attempt to resolve this matter directly with the company, we have served two formal Letters of Demand. We have also opened a ******** case in which we allege *****, and the matter is now being dealt with through the appropriate legal channels. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Couples place immense trust in the professionals they hire to preserve memories that cannot be recreated. We exercised patience and understanding for many months, but there comes a point where businesses must be held accountable for the commitments they make to their clients. Based on my personal experience, I DO NOT recommend EverAfter Studios.

Absolutely terrible experience. I am extremely disappointed with the service we received. Communication was poor throughout, and when the photos were eventually delivered, the quality was far below expectations. The collection included numerous images of empty tables and the backs of guests, while key moments from the evening were completely missing. There were also many duplicate photos seemingly included to meet the quoted quantity. When we raised our concerns, instead of addressing the issues, the response was defensive and included accusations of defamation. This was both unprofessional and unacceptable. I would definitely not recommend this company.

The worst service I’ve ever received from a photographer. You have to beg and plead with them for them to actually deliver your work. I received my photos 8 months after my wedding with only 2 sneak peaks before at the 3 month mark when the photos should have been due. We received our video one month before our 1 year anniversary after having to call from another number since they were ignoring all our messages. The quality has been poor and the experience has been terrible

We booked EverAfter Studios for our wedding after contacting them on 22 October 2025. They responded immediately and sent us the contract to sign the same day. We were told we needed to pay the R10,000 deposit right away to secure the date, as another couple was reportedly also interested in it. We paid the deposit on 22 October 2025 and signed the contract on our side on 1 November 2025. EverAfter Studios did not sign or return a completed copy of the contract at that time. At no point were we told that EverAfter Studios subcontracts photographers to shoot weddings on their behalf rather than photographing weddings themselves. In November 2025, a close friend's wedding was photographed by a photographer we hadn't been told about in advance, subcontracted through EverAfter Studios. I was present at this wedding and personally witnessed this photographer's direction during the couple's photos, which I found lacking in confidence. He also mentioned, on the day, that he wasn't very fami**** with the couple or with EverAfter Studios. On 23 April 2026, I contacted EverAfter Studios to raise my concerns, referencing both what I'd witnessed at my friend's wedding and negative posts about the business I'd seen online. They responded that the photographer was part of their team, that most of what I'd raised had been "handled," and that the rest were "lies." They said they would speak to my friend about it. To my knowledge, they didnt contact her after that message. In that same message, I asked directly whether the same photographer would be shooting our wedding. I received no response to this question. I followed up on 25 May 2026, again asking about this and raising concerns about the lack of communication, and mentioned we were considering cancelling and requesting a refund given our wedding is only in December. I followed up again on 26 May with no response. On 28 May, I messaged again and was told their baby was in ICU and they would respond when they could. After no further response, my fiancé sent a message on our behalf requesting a reply. EverAfter Studios then created a joint WhatsApp group on 29 May 2026 to address our concerns. In that conversation, they denied any issue with communication or handling of my friend's wedding, told us the R10,000 deposit was non-refundable under the contract, and sent voice notes in response to us mentioning we would be leaving a review of our experience. We have a system-generated email confirming that EverAfter Studios only completed and signed the contract on their side on 29 May 2026 — the same day this conversation took place, and roughly seven months after we signed ours, and only after we had raised the possibility of cancelling. Given the lack of transparency about subcontracted photographers, the extended delay in signing the contract, and how our concerns were ultimately handled, we decided not to proceed with EverAfter Studios and lost our R10,000 deposit. We have since booked a different photographer for our wedding.
