Always my go to place for car problems

Always my go to place for car problems
I had a great experience with Cartime Alberton. The team was professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. Worst experience.
I booked my Toyota Etios 1.5 in for a major service and asked them to check an overheating problem. On quote *** they charged a diagnostic scan plus labour, then quoted R586.96 for a thermostat, R782.61 for a water pump and R461.74 for a radiator flush, with R1,813 in cooling-system labour on top. Acting on that diagnosis, I had the water pump and thermostat replaced by another mechanic that cost less for sourcing the parts and for labour. The overheating did not change at all. I then took the car to another workshop, which ran a combustion leak (glycol) test and confirmed a blown head gasket which could have been less severe had the proper tests been done, a completely different fault that their diagnostic scan missed. I spent money chasing cooling-system parts that were never the real problem. I still have their written quote. Insist on a proper leak-down or combustion test before you pay for anything.

Unprofessional and not safe service
I took my car for service on the 02/09/2026.I assumed everything was sorted only for the spanner and engine light to appear the following day.I took the car back on the 30th and was told everything is sorted.Today the spanner with the engine light was showing again while on the high way.Went to the nearest cartime and they were unable to help me because they only had 1 mechanic.Im greateful they referred me to people who can assist as they are fully.For the worse thing to unfolled.Even oil was not there.How possible is it after service.I waisted my money for my car still to be a danger to me and to use money forcefully as i needed a car for a long drive.

WARNING: Completely unacceptable service and property damage.
WARNING: This workshop has zero respect for client property. I booked my vehicle in for an engine repair and received it back with extensive damage completely unrelated to the mechanical work. The vehicle was returned dirty after being left outside in the rain with the windows wide open. The shocking list of damages includes: • Interior damage: Heavy oil marks all over the seats and my car carpets are completely missing. • Exterior damage: Broken and loose light clips, and my bumper was crudely *****ed back into place. When confronted, management was defensive, full of excuses, and completely unhelpful. I have full photographic and documentary evidence backing up everything stated above. This matter has officially been reported to the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI). Avoid this business at all costs.

Horrible
I took my car inn for major service.. little did i know how expensive that place was. Worst part when i go pick the car i found out that they broke my front bumper. The manager told me they going to check the cameras to see if the car came in with a broken bumper or not. Its been a month already no response from Cartime kempton park. They did the very same thing to my niece's car they bumped it on the back bumper. Im very disappointed i thought i would have a good relationship with them but i experienced a horrible service from them as a first customer. Tale ypur car there at your own risk. They expensive with horrible service.
