Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Developer

This developer has been an absolute disappointment. Beyond the concerns about the quality of materials used in constructing these complexes, what is even more frustrating is their lack of accountability and willingness to assist when serious faults are reported. We have been experiencing ongoing gas issues affecting our stoves and geysers for almost three months. This follows the City of Johannesburg reportedly identifying compliance issues in the area and indicating that the gas installation should not have been approved. Despite the seriousness of this matter, the developer has shown little to no willingness to assist with escalating the issue. Calls go unanswered, and there is virtually no guidance, communication, or meaningful effort to help affected residents find a solution. As homeowners, we invested our hard-earned money expecting quality construction, safe installations, and a developer willing to take responsibility when things go wrong. Instead, we are left to deal with the consequences of a problem that we did not create. The most disappointing part is not just the problem itself, but the complete lack of accountability after the problem has been reported. Residents should not have to fight for basic communication and assistance, especially when the matter involves gas installations and the safety of their homes. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I would strongly urge prospective buyers to do their due diligence, ask difficult questions about construction quality and compliance, and carefully consider the developer's track record before making such a significant investment.

WHENEVER YOU WANT TO BUY A PROPERTY AND SEE CALGRO AS THE DEVELOPER RUUUUUUUUN

Such an *********** developer. They always cut corners and buy cheap materials. Acacia Grove is not even 5 years old but we have been experiencing issues that should have come at least after 5 years. Right now since July, we have not been having Gas and as usual, Calgro doesn't wanna take responsibility. It has been 3 months of blame game with Calgro, COJ EMS and other stakeholders. Their main goal now is to finish that Lifestyle Estate project while negotiating what their other projects are complaining about. FRIENDLY ADVICE STAY AWAY FROM ANY CALGRO PROJECTS AND THEY DO ****TY JOBS.

Compliant for tombstone Erection

I'm honestly appalled by the service I have received from Nasrec and Calgro. How is it possible that an entire Calgro group does not have a landline or a reliable communication channel where clients can actually get assistance? On 27 August, we came to Nasrec and submitted all the necessary documentation required for us to erect my father's tombstone. We were told that we would await approval before proceeding with the erection, but we never received any communication from them. I then had to follow up myself to find out what the procedure was. I was informed that as long as all the required documentation and measurements had been submitted, we could proceed, and that we simply needed to call a few days before the erection to make an appointment. We have been trying to get hold of Nasrec since last week because the erection of my father's tombstone is scheduled for Friday, yet we have received absolutely no assistance. I have even contacted the head office, but I still have not received any meaningful response or assistance. This is extremely frustrating, especially considering that this is not an ordinary appointment. We are trying to honour and lay a permanent memorial for my father, and the lack of communication is putting the entire arrangement at risk. I urgently need someone to assist us and confirm the appointment for Friday. We have followed the process as instructed and submitted everything that was required from our side. At this point, we simply need someone from Calgro/Nasrec to take ownership of the matter and assist us.

do not buy anything property under Calgro M3 development

WARNING: Think twice before buying a property developed by Calgro M3. As the South Hills community, we have been suffering for the past 6 weeks with no gas. The supply was stopped due to non-compliance. If the installation is non-compliant, why was the Certificate of Occupation granted in the first place? Calgro M3 is not taking responsibility. They are blaming other parties like Aygas and EMS, but they are the main developer of this project. They use cheap materials and disappear when there are issues and don't come back to fix them. Based on our experience, DO NOT BUY any property under a Calgro M3 development.

😡 WARNING: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE CALGRO DEVELOPERS!!! They're a TOTAL ****

I, along with many others, fell victim to their ********* practices. Bought a unit and thought it was a solid investment. WRONG! Within 2 years, costly defects popped up, and they've ghosted us! Refusing responsibility, pushing maintenance costs onto owners. UNACCEPTABLE! Now I’m responsible for damages to other’s property whilst paying for damage and plumbing defects in my brand new apartment. Calgro prioritizes profit over quality and customer satisfaction. They hire shoddy contractors, lie about specs, and abandon ship. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Spread the word: Calgro Developers is a ****. Avoid them at all costs!
