Based on recent customer reviews, Bosch Siemens Home Appliances earns praise for appliance build quality and longevity, with owners citing dishwashers and washing machines lasting many years and one call centre agent singled out for prompt help. Most feedback, however, centres on after sales support: logged service calls where the promised 48 hour technician contact never comes, repeat visits that fail to fix faults, unavailable spares for current models, warranty claims declined for rust or broken glass, and head office escalations that stall without any callback.

Quick response and feedback

My Bosch laser level broke - took it to Bosch last week and Vicky signed it in for me. Heard today from her that its not economical to repair, but they're replacing it for me. I appreciate the quick response and excellent service. Thank you Vicky!

Horrible customer experience from BSH Themba and his management

3 months has lapsed since our Siemens extractor experience malfunctioned. We reported it on 23rd May 2026; 5 months after installation. It was collected in the following days and feedback and lack of communication has been ********** from Themba. It seems everyone he’s is working with has no intention to provide us with updates. We only get feedback if we ask the installer and they only provide installer with endless promises that are never fulfilled. Themba sent me a very long WhatsApp message on the Friday 31st July only giving excuses for providing horrible customer experience BUT never bothered to revert or reply when we wrote him back and no more updates since. Themba and all his management team are a horrible brand representation. Why can’t they keep us directly update and keep their word. 3 months is too long without actual direct update and concluding this repair process.

USELESS AFTER SERVICE!!!!!!!!

A week ago I contacted Bosch for issues I am experiencing with my gas stove. A technician called me shortly afterwards and promised to send me a quote for repairs and callout. A week later I am still waiting for that technician. I called Bosch again this morning and still haven't heard anything.

DISAPPOINTED BOSCH CLIENT

Dear Bosch Customer Service Team & Claremont Home Appliances I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and frustration with the service I have received from Claremont Home Appliances, a subcontractor engaged by Bosch to carry out repairs on my washing machine. My ordeal began on 6 July 2026, when I logged a service request with Bosch and received a reference number. Within 48 hours, a technician from Claremont Home Appliances, Donald, arrived unannounced and without prior notification of an estimated time. This lack of communication is highly unprofessional and demonstrates a clear disregard for clients’ time and commitments. I had to contact Claremont Home Appliances myself to confirm when the technician would arrive, which is unacceptable. Donald assessed my machine by tilting it to look underneath, a process that took all of about five minutes, for which I was charged R750. During this brief assessment, he concluded that the rubber pipe under the machine had a hole and suggested that this was the sole cause of the water leakage. His assessment did not involve opening the machine or conducting any thorough troubleshooting. When I questioned whether so much water could leak so significantly from a small hole in the rubber pipe, he confirmed that it could. On 21 July, Donald returned to repair the rubber pipe, again without providing any appointment time—only a phone call informing me he was outside. After repairing the pipe, he called me to say there was a bigger issue: a hole in the drum itself. When I asked why this was not checked during his initial visit, he admitted he had not opened the machine to inspect the drum. I find this unacceptable, especially considering I paid R750 for what should have been a professional diagnosis. I then contacted Linda at Claremont Home Appliances, who echoed Donald’s attitude and dismissed my concerns, claiming that without opening the machine, he could not see the drum’s hole. I questioned the purpose of paying for a call-out fee if the technician is unable to perform a proper diagnosis, which is evident from their minimal effort and assumptions. Furthermore, I escalated this matter by calling Bosch’s customer care line at ***. I was transferred to management and spoke with Zimphiwe, who assured me she would handle the issue and revert within an hour. Regrettably, this did not happen. Despite multiple follow-up calls, I was repeatedly told she was busy and unavailable, which demonstrates a lack of courtesy and professionalism. Given the gross incompetence and poor attitude displayed by Claremont Home Appliances, I am extremely reluctant to trust them with my repair or any future service. I cannot understand how Bosch, a reputable brand, can outsource repairs to a company with such a consistently negative review profile and a reputation for unreliable service, and unskilled technicians. I am deeply disappointed with Bosch’s failure to ensure quality and trustworthy service through their outsourcing partners. As a loyal customer, I will no longer support Bosch products and will strongly advise others against doing so, based on this experience. I expect this matter to be addressed promptly and appropriately by BOSCH. I request a full explanation, and a clear plan on how Bosch intends to rectify this situation without further inconvenience or expense on my part.

New Bosch washing machine - NO SPARES

Purchased a new Bosch washing machine (WAN24166ZA) on 5th May, directly from Bosch. Worked fine until about 10 days ago when it would often not spin dry. Did various tests etc and put in a warrantee call on Monday 6th July. Technician came out on Wednesday 8th July and recommended that a motor sensor should be replaced and that he would get one from Bosch. Well Bosch have NO spares!! On a new current model machine, and don't know when they will get it. Absolutely not acceptable - so much for Bosch service and quality.

BOSCH SERVICE NON EXISTENT

Service doesn't exist. Saying it is poor will be a compliment. Have asked on multiple occasions for my matter to be escalated and management to call me back only to find out it was not escalated and never to receive a call back. Waiting months for item to be repaired. They order wrong parts and then change the ETA for the parts they order everytime I request an update. The dishwasher is new and has never had a successful wash. Instead of replacing the item they keep on ordering parts and delaying the process and even closing a ticket without my knowledge. I was also not kept up to date. I had to call to get an update on my case. Among the worst service I have received. They don't seem to honour their warranty and takes so long to repair the item by the time they get around to doing it it will probably be out of warranty.

Faulty Bosch Series 6 Oven and Extremely Frustrating Support Process

We purchased a Bosch Series 6 built-in oven expecting the quality and reliability associated with the Bosch brand, but unfortunately our experience has been extremely disappointing. From the beginning, the oven baked inconsistently. The “3D Hotair” function did not bake evenly despite Bosch specifically advertising the oven as being able to “bake evenly on up to 3 levels.” Conventional mode performed somewhat better, but the oven still ran significantly hotter than expected. We consistently had to bake 15–20°C lower than standard recipe temperatures, and when baking multiple batches (cupcakes, scones, tart shells etc.), each subsequent batch would overbake unless the temperature was reduced further. We also experienced: Progressive overheating between batches Uneven browning in fan mode Clock drift requiring regular correction Interior enamel/coating damage and scratching within the first month of normal household use using the supp**** accessories Multiple technician visits were arranged. Initially we were repeatedly told the oven was “within specification,” despite the inconsistent baking results and the clear contradiction between the actual fan performance and Bosch’s 3D Hotair advertising. At one stage, the installation itself was blamed, despite the same cavity previously housing multiple other 60cm built-in ovens without issue. We then reviewed Bosch’s own installation requirements and compared them to the actual installation. After extensive testing and back-and-forth communication, Bosch eventually confirmed in writing that the unit is faulty and escalated the matter to Head Office. We were advised on 7 May that feedback would be provided within 2–3 business days regarding replacement or further action. It is now 17 May and we still have no update or resolution. The entire process has been incredibly time-consuming and frustrating, especially considering this is a premium appliance. At this stage, I am extremely disappointed both in the product quality and in how long it has taken to resolve the matter.
