Extremely disappointed

⭐ 1/5 – Extremely Disappointing Experience with Raceview Motors My experience with Raceview Motors has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I purchased my vehicle from the dealership expecting a safe, reliable vehicle and a professional after-sales experience. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have experienced several problems that have required ongoing attention. What concerns me most is that some of these issues relate directly to the safety and condition of the vehicle, including significantly worn tyres. The condition of the tyres is particularly concerning because tyres are a critical safety component, and selling a vehicle in that condition raises serious questions about the checks performed before the vehicle was handed over to me. I have also experienced other issues with the vehicle, including mechanical/electrical faults, warning lights, and problems with components such as the sunroof lining and other electrical items. I have had to spend my own time and resources trying to diagnose and address problems that I believe should have been properly identified and dealt with much earlier. Another major concern is the information I was given regarding the vehicle’s warranty. I understood from the salesperson that the vehicle came with a two-year warranty, only to later discover that the actual warranty arrangement was different. This has significantly affected my confidence in the information provided to me at the time of purchase. What has made the situation even more frustrating is the way the matter has been handled after I raised my concerns. Instead of receiving a clear, comprehensive resolution to all the issues, much of the communication has focused on the warranty process, while several of the other concerns I raised have not been properly addressed. I have had to escalate the matter and seek assistance through MIOSA and WesBank because I felt that my concerns were not being adequately resolved directly with the dealership. I understand that problems can sometimes occur with a used vehicle. However, what matters is how a dealership responds when a customer raises legitimate concerns. In my experience, the communication, accountability and overall after-sales support have fallen far below what I expected. I am sharing this review so that potential customers can make an informed decision. Please thoroughly inspect any vehicle you are considering purchasing from this dealership, check the tyres and all components carefully, obtain everything promised to you in writing, and verify the exact warranty terms before signing anything. I sincerely hope Raceview Motors takes this feedback seriously and improves its approach to customer service, vehicle inspections, transparency and after-sales support. A customer should not have to go through this level of frustration simply to have legitimate vehicle and safety concerns properly addressed

Bad Bad service

My Son bought a VW Minibus in January from salesman named Khutso, we were given a broken spare key and due to excitement we did not notice at the time but later realised the key has no part that you click open to start the car, we have been trying to resolve this issue for months now he kept saying he is waiting for a response from his manager but now he is avoiding our calls , we trusted this dealership but also after 2 months the car had an ignition issue which we ended up fixing ourselves , when the machanic opened it the part was market for repairs showing that they knew about the problem but chose to take advantage of a customer, now we must still need the money which we do not have to get another spare key, I would not recommend anyone to use them, my other son is looking to buy another car for himself we have learned our lesson not to trust this dealership

Poor workmanship Raceview Motors

I am writing to formally raise my concerns regarding the ongoing mechanical and electrical problems with a Renault Captur that I purchased from Raceview Motors for my daughter following the passing of my wife late last year. The vehicle was purchased to provide my daughter with reliable transportation to and from university. Based on Raceview Motors' excellent reputation and positive reviews, I entrusted the dealership with this important purchase. Unfortunately, since taking delivery of the vehicle, we have experienced continuous and recurring faults. These issues have included, among others: Persistent reverse sensor malfunctions, with warning lights continuously flashing on the dashboard. Fuel tank leakage problems. Intermittent starting difficulties. Various software and sensor-related faults. The vehicle has been returned to the dealership on multiple occasions for repairs. While the service provided by the sales staff and Dealer Principal has been professional, courteous, and supportive throughout, the underlying issues remain unresolved. Each time the vehicle is returned to us, the same faults eventually reoccur, raising serious concerns about the quality and effectiveness of the repair work carried out. Most concerning is that the vehicle was returned to us again this week, and the same problems have already resurfaced. This ongoing situation has caused significant inconvenience, frustration, and concern regarding the vehicle's reliability and safety. Given the repeated failures to permanently rectify these defects, I now feel compelled to escalate this matter to the relevant finance and insurance stakeholders for further review and intervention. While I appreciate the efforts and customer service provided by the dealership staff, the workmanship and repair outcomes have fallen well below reasonable expectations. I respectfully request urgent attention to this matter and a lasting resolution to the ongoing defects affecting this vehicle.

xtremely disappointing experience with Raceview Motors Alberton

Our experience with Raceview Motors Alberton has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. We purchased a GAC GS3 Emzoom demo vehicle from this dealership in December, specifically because we wanted a safe and reliable vehicle for our daughter who would be travelling to varsity. Unfortunately, what followed has been a complete breakdown in trust and customer service from both the sales and service departments. At the point of sale, the vehicle was advertised as a demo model with approximately 900 km on the odometer. During the sales process, we were advised that the mileage was closer to 4,000 km. However, when we collected the vehicle after payment was made, we discovered the vehicle had over 12,000 km on the clock. This was never transparently communicated upfront. We were also assured that the vehicle carried the relevant GAC warranty benefits and that everything would be in order. Due to the mileage discrepancy and concerns around the vehicle’s history, we requested written confirmation regarding the warranty and vehicle status. Instead of taking ownership and providing clear answers, we experienced delays and explanations that did not resolve our concerns. The registration process was also frustrating, with delays and the vehicle ultimately being registered as “used” — something that was not clearly explained during the sales process. The service experience has been equally disappointing. We reported an ongoing tyre pressure warning issue during the vehicle service process and were assured that there was no problem with the tyre pressure sensor. We later discovered that one of the tyres had previously been repaired on the inner wall — a serious safety concern. We had no choice but to replace both rear tyres at our own cost. What is most disappointing is not only the issues themselves, but the lack of accountability from Raceview Motors. Instead of acknowledging the concerns and working towards a fair resolution, we have experienced what feels like avoidance and conflicting explanations from both the sales and service teams. A vehicle purchase, especially one involving a family member’s safety, requires honesty, transparency and trust. Unfortunately, our experience with Raceview Motors Alberton has left us questioning all three. Potential customers should carefully consider their experience after the sale, not only the promises made before signing the paperwork.

Faulty new car and no support from Raceview Motors

I purchased a brand-new vehicle from Raceview Motors, and within just a week of ownership, I started experiencing issues. Initially, there was a sound coming from the aircon side. I went back to the dealership and spoke to the salesperson who assisted me, and I was advised to take the vehicle to a Chery service centre for assessment. The very next day, another sound started coming from the dashboard, meaning I now had two separate noises coming from a brand-new car within weeks of purchase. When I took the car to Chery, I was informed that they could not proceed with repairs because there is a tracker installed in the vehicle. This tracker was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase. I was advised to return to the dealership to avoid any liability issues. The only temporary solution offered was placing sponge to stop the tracker from hitting internal components, however, this did not resolve the issue, and both sounds are still present and getting worse. I reported all of this back to the salesperson at Raceview Motors, who said he would follow up with the person who installed the tracker. Since then, I have received no assistance. I have: - Called multiple times - Sent messages - Sent emails (including to management) - Even provided dates when I am available for the car to be booked in Despite all of this, I have been completely ignored. It has now been a month, and I am still driving a brand-new car with unresolved and worsening issues. The noise is unbearable, and I am not enjoying the vehicle at all. I have even sent recordings of the sounds, but no one seems to care. This has turned what should have been an exciting first-time car purchase into one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The level of service received after purchase is extremely disappointing. The assistance was excellent while buying the car, but once the vehicle had issues, there has been no accountability or support. I expect urgent intervention and a proper resolution to this matter. If this is not addressed, I will be escalating further through the National Consumer Commission. Very disappointed.
