Bad service with Linklayer

I would give Linklayer a minus 10 if i could! Most pathetic & useless service provider ever. Services were down for 2 days and no feedback from them. Tried contacting them via WhatsApp as thats their only method of communication. They dont respond!! Their customer service is extremely bad and I would never recommend them to anyone! I have canceled and moved over to a new provider.

********** Service

Very poor service! "We've detected an issue affecting Link Layer Fibre services in your area. We will let you know as soon as it's fixed" This is now a weekly issue and its pathetic! The amount of productivity lost is insane along with revenue due to this. MWEB is impossible to get hold of and when you do, you get told its a LinkLayer fault. LinkLayer on other hand does as they please as there is no one there to hold them accountable as we as customers can't make contact with them. ********** service!

can any fool just become a fiber supplier now ?

Placed a fibre order with these guys over a month ago. To date, almost zero communication. The only message I’ve received from them in all this time is: “Please advise if you are still interested in your fibre order?” Are you actually serious? I ordered it a month ago and you’ve done nothing, and now you’re asking me if I still want it? That has to be one of the most pathetic and unprofessional responses I’ve ever seen from a service provider. This level of incompetence is shocking. Complete radio silence for weeks, followed by a message that basically admits they’ve forgotten about the order. It feels like nobody there knows what they’re doing or cares enough to follow through. Sort your systems out and stop wasting customers’ time. Absolutely disappointing service.

Pathetic to the core

If I could leave no stars, I would. I have had linklayer a couple of years, as I have been told it is the only service available for my area. Sadly, they are a terrible company. What kind of company has no way of being contacted? Their WhatsApp doesn't work. EMailing them renders no reply. And if you try to phone them...do you think they answer? Even their website is not up to date about outages which lately have been far too often yet they have the audacity to charge one of the heftiest fees for their service in the industry. I work from home and depend on the fibre for my work. I have lost so much income as a result. I end up spending more money on alternatives waiting for my fibre to work than what I even spend on their service sometimes. Atrocious company. I have no internet now and am using one of my alternatices to write this review. To say I am outraged is a huge understatement.

The issue I have with a company running my fibre is not about the time it takes to install it, but when I have an issue I need support, however it seems impossible to get hold of the company and they do not seem to respond properly to Afrihost either, which makes this the only channel for communication and this is extremely poorly. if the guys who needs direct access to a provider can't get adequate support , how am I supposed to get support from them?

Providing feedback is far to much effort.

I suppose if you have the monopoly in an area, then service and feedback to clients are not high on your agenda. You deliver the service, I pay for it. That is the baseline. If you don't deliver the service, which sometimes happen, the least you can do is keep your customers informed. But that seems to much effort.

Remove Mweb as your service provider

Please can you remove Mweb as your ISP. They do not assist customers. We have been trying for 4 days straight to get our link layer connection up and running again and they are giving us the worst run around. They are a bunch of *********** people and it is going to ruin your reputation because they cannot provide a proper service to your customers.
