Poor workmanship and quality, has his money and runs.
Needed pool repairs to an old pool, once the work started then the list of things wrong with the pool piled up, including a leak. With many excuses under the sun to make these changes, I had to cough up approx. R30K. The pool is "fixed" but the leak persists with brand new pipes to and from the pool and pump. The excuse was I have a smaller pool and summer it evaporates more. I was losing 3cm of water per day, that is not due to evaporation. After numerous checks from Chris, I can confirm he just isn't bothered to fix it, he has made his money and now he doesn't answer his calls or messages. I now have to get another pool company to come inspect as my water bill is expensive due to the numerous fills ups. Don't use IPR Pool Renovations. Get quotes from 2 or 3 other reputable businesses.

Avoid IPR Pools and Chris at all costs. The negative reviews online are absolutely true, and unfortunately we only realised this after it was too late. Chris came across as convincing and trustworthy in the beginning, making all the right promises and assurances. He told us the pool would be completed by the end of February, yet after more than two months of delays during summer, the job was only “finished” in mid-April. We remained patient the entire time and never pressured him, despite excuse after excuse. The workmanship is shocking. The pool is now leaking badly and we are losing water, which clearly shows how rushed and poorly the work was done. Instead of taking accountability, Chris constantly lies, gives endless stories, and then becomes defensive and upset when questioned about legitimate concerns. To make matters worse, he demanded his final payment before the work was even completed, and because we trusted him, we paid him in full. Once he had all the money, the quality of work and communication became even worse. Looking back now, the negative reviews were a warning sign we should have listened to. If you value your money, time, and peace of mind, stay far away from IPR Pools and Chris.

Paid for Quotes but Response
I contacted Chris at IPR Pool Renovations for written quotes for the purpose of submission for insurance due to damage on my pool. He required a call-out fee of R450 which I paid and promised reports would be sent by end of day. It has now been 5 days since, he has not sent me my proof of receipt for the payment or the quotes and seem to since being paid for the call-out has stopped responding to messages. It would seem I have been taken for a fool while further damage is being experienced due to delays. This company does not seem to be trustworthy, so be careful.

My experience with IRP Pools Chris has been extremely disappointing. Due to leaks caused by poor workmanship, I was forced to drain my pool twice, which is unacceptable and wasteful. Despite raising these issues, they were not properly resolved. As a result, I now have no choice but to redo the pool with another company, which will cost me additional money to fix the mess left behind. What should have been a straightforward project has turned into a costly and frustrating ordeal. Communication was poor throughout, timelines were missed, and accountability was lacking or non-existing. Overall, this has been a very expensive lesson. I would not recommend IRP Pools to anyone looking for reliable or professional pool construction, finishing or repairs.
