Based on recent customer reviews, Homemark is drawing heavy criticism over product durability and after-sales support. Shoppers report Milex appliances such as air fryers, juicers, ice makers and robot vacuums failing soon after purchase, incomplete deliveries missing batteries or hose attachments, and advertising that does not match what arrives. Refunds and returns are the biggest frustration, with customers charged handling fees and courier costs from Cape Town to Johannesburg, or waiting months for promised money back. One bright spot was the Wynberg, Sandton branch, praised for friendly, knowledgeable repair work.

Milex Juicer with Defective Cover - Replaced 3 times in 24 months
Subject: Recurring Failure of Milex Juicer Component – Defective Product Line I am writing to log a formal complaint regarding the recurring failure of a critical component on my Milex Juicer. Despite standard, residential use, the top plastic cover of this unit has failed and required replacement three times within a 24-month period: First Replacement: 01-04-2025 Second Replacement: 10-03-2026 Third Replacement: 06-10-2026 This pattern of repeated failure indicates a fundamental design or material defect rather than normal wear and tear. The Support Experience: When I initially raised this as a formal complaint on 06-10-2026, Homemark support dismissed the issue, stating the unit was out of warranty and that accessories were not covered. After I escalated the matter, citing my rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act (Sections 55 and 56) regarding goods that must be durable and fit for purpose, the company agreed to an inspection. Current Status: The failed component was collected by Homemark on 12-10-2026 for assessment. On 20-10-2026, Homemark reported that their initial assessment identified no direct defect on the cover itself, and they have now suggested that the complete unit needs to be assessed for potential misalignment or pressure issues. I am seeking a permanent resolution—either an upgraded, durable component or a replacement unit of equivalent value—as replacing this part every few months is not a viable long-term solution for a premium kitchen appliance. The model number of this juicer is: ***. — Johann Venter

Homemark; worst service ever
I ordered a hydroblaster by telephone. I paid by EFT. Vanessa from Homemark acknowledged receipt of payment by whatsapp. I item was delivered but without its rechargable lithium ion battery. Therefore, unusable. It was returned via the courier who delivered it on the same day after I phoned and sent a photo of the incomplete set. I asked for replacement or refund on the 24-6-2026 via whatsapp. Eventually they said they had no stock of hydroblaster and said I could choose a different product. I said no thank you, money back please. As of the 16-7-2026 after repeat reminders that I want a refund I have had empty promises. What terrible service. I advise everyone to boycott Homemark. Worst service ever.

Homemark is a first-class business.
Some 15 years ago, I purchased a Milex Hurricane air fryer. It has given us good service over the years, but the heating element has needed replacing twice, with the work done by a small one-man business. Finally, the air fryer packed up in early May. I took the appliance to Homemark in Wynberg, Sandton for a new heating element. I collected the air fryer yesterday from Homemark. At home, i unpacked it and noticed that the entire machine had been refurbished to the extent that it looks as good as new! Furthermore, the correct element had been used and the machine works like a dream. The Homemark staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly take pride in their work. Homemark is "tops" in service. I highly recommend the business. Thank you, Homemark.

I bought a bin from them, where they did the measurements and did not include the lead
I bought a bin from them, where they did the measurements and did not include the lead. The bin cannot fit and I request an exchange they decline with no reason. When I request reasons they tell me to deliver the bin at Jhb. I did online, surely that means I couldn’t drive to the store. Why must I physically return an online order. When I logged the return they deducted R200, what is that money for if I am driving the order to them. This is really stressing and poor service

HOMEMARK AND MILEX ARE THE ****MERS AND PRODUCTS VERY POOR.
Homemark and Milex stole my money. They sold me a juicer, in a month it started jamming, they took it and said they replaced the motor, in about a month they took it again and I said I want my money back because I can't do the back and forth. They kept it for months and months and when I eventually enquired about my money they said the warranty is finished. This juicer spent it's whole warranty period in their possession and even today it's still in their possession. They are *******, they have the product and my money and I want my money back. I have done research and got advise so next week I am going to the SAPS to open a ***** and ****ming case. They rob us of our hard earned money and come with stupid excuses. I think the media would also be interested to entertain this because this is day light *******. They are ****** together with Homemark and I will put the same review for home mark. Run away from these two companies, they are only here to **** an already struggling society in this country.

Never Buy Homemark or Milex
What a horrible experience - a bought a carpet cleaner and use the photos provided to ensure it will meet my need. On arrival the product does not have the pipe for cleaning carpets and I am not going to clean a 2mx2m carpet on my knees - arrange for a return. Photos and reason asked. I said misleading advertising. Ok, refund approve - please return product on your cost and a handling fee will be deducted for the return.
