Based on recent customer reviews, Facebook is described by South African users as a platform they rely on daily for family contact, business pages and Marketplace trading, yet one that offers almost no meaningful human assistance when things go wrong. Reviewers report sudden account suspensions and disabling without warning, rejected South African ID verifications, unresolved hacking and memorialisation requests, missing creator payouts and Meta Ads billing disputes. Many also say reported scam adverts, fake seller profiles and illegal listings on Marketplace remain live despite repeated reports.

Business verification rejected repeatedly with no reason and no human support
We're a registered South African company trying to verify our business with Meta so we can use WhatsApp to send daily safety check-ins to elderly residents at a retirement village. For weeks our verification has been rejected with the same message: "There's a problem with the ID you submitted." We've submitted the director's passport, ID and driver's licence. Our company details match our CIPC registration exactly, and the director's name and date of birth match across every document. No reason is ever given. We opened three support cases. Each one was answered by an AI agent that suggested posting on a forum, then closed the case. It's almost impossible to reach a real person. All we want is to be told what's wrong so we can fix it. Small businesses deserve better than this.

Bad bad bad Facebook is getting unpleasant and unstable
Im struggling with Facebook it self they keep on suspending my account without explaining why the explanation they give does not tell you exactly what your doing wrong. And its not the first time and I need feedback, explanations etc...... I have my account for so many years and never but never have I did something wrong to get suspended like this.

Facebook... Not happy!
A Frustrating and Disappointing Experience with Facebook Facebook has become unnecessarily complicated and frustrating to use. Cancelling an account seems to be an exercise in endless obstacles, while simply previewing a post before publishing it is far more difficult than it should be. Even more concerning is the apparent lack of control over how you want your content to appear and how it actually ends up being published. Something as basic as managing your own content should be straightforward, transparent, and user-friendly. Instead, the experience leaves one feeling that the platform dictates the rules while the user struggles to maintain control. Facebook should remember that its users deserve a platform that respects their time, offers genuine control, and makes basic functions easy to perform. At present, the user experience feels more like a battle than a service.

Facebook Has Devastated Our Church's Reach and Demoralised Our Media Team — *** Followers Affected
I am writing this complaint with a broken heart and deep disappointment in Facebook (Meta). Our church, Itshe Legumbi, has spent years building a Facebook community that has now grown to *** followers. These followers did not come overnight. Behind this achievement are years of dedication, sacrifices, sleepless nights, creativity and the tireless efforts of our church media team. Our mission has always been simple: to spread the Gospel, share worship music, encourage people through motivational messages and bring hope to those going through difficult times. Yet Facebook has repeatedly flagged our videos and restricted our page from recommendations and monetisation. The damage is heartbreaking, and our analytics tell the story. According to our Facebook Professional Dashboard, over the latest 28-day reporting period: * Our views dropped by 81%. * Our engagement dropped by 85%. * Our new follows dropped by 87%. * Our latest post experienced a 68% decline in views. These are not just statistics to us. They represent people we are no longer reaching and opportunities to spread encouragement that we may be losing. What hurts the most is the restriction on recommendations. If Facebook had restricted only our monetisation, it would still have been painful, but we could have continued sharing our message and growing our community. Instead, the recommendation restriction threatens the very purpose for which we built this page. How can a church reach new people when its content is no longer eligible for recommendations? How can our media team remain motivated when almost every video they work so hard to produce is flagged? We share church services, Gospel singing, prayers and motivational content. We do not understand why this content keeps triggering Facebook's enforcement systems. We have contacted Facebook support on several occasions, but despite our efforts, the problem remains unresolved. Our media team is exhausted, discouraged and deeply demoralised. Imagine spending years building a community of over 211 000 people, only to watch your reach collapse while receiving no satisfactory explanation. We are not demanding special treatment. We are asking for fairness, transparency and a genuine opportunity to resolve this matter. We respectfully request that Meta: 1. Conduct a proper human review of Itshe Legumbi's page. 2. Explain which specific policies our videos allegedly violate. 3. Review the repeated flags on our Gospel and church-related content. 4. Restore our recommendation eligibility if the restrictions were app**** incorrectly. 5. Reconsider our monetisation restrictions and provide clear guidance on how to resolve any outstanding issues. Facebook, behind those *** followers are real people. Behind every video is a dedicated media team. Behind our page is a church trying to spread hope. We have worked too hard to build this community to watch everything fall apart without a fair explanation. We are pleading with Meta to listen to us, review our situation and treat our church fairly. We do not want to abandon what we have spent years building. We simply want our church to have a fair chance to reach people again. 💔 Page: Itshe Legumbi Followers: *** Supporting evidence: Facebook Professional Dashboard screenshots showing declining views, engagement, follower growth and flagged reels.

WhatsApp keeps telling me that I am in violation of your Terms of Service, and today my account has been suspended again. This is now the 5th or 6th time this has happened. Every time, I have to submit a review and wait for my account to be restored. In the meantime, I lose contact with clients and potentially lose business. This is having a serious impact on me professionally. What is extremely frustrating is that I am unable to speak to a real person who can explain exactly why my account keeps being suspended and what I need to do to prevent this from happening again. The automated AI review process is not resolving the underlying problem. I need to speak to a human representative who can properly investigate my account, explain what is causing these repeated suspensions, and help me resolve the issue permanently. I am asking WhatsApp to please escalate this matter to a human support agent. I need to understand exactly what I am doing that is allegedly violating the Terms of Service so that I can correct it and continue using WhatsApp without repeatedly losing access to my clients and business contacts. Please do not simply restore my account again without investigating the reason for these repeated suspensions. I need a permanent solution.

Disgusted in Zuckerberg, his creation and his management style. AI is NOT the answer!
Disgusted at how Facebook disables a profile that's 20 years old and in daily use without warning. Was asked to upload my identity document which I did and then got a response that the review was unsuccessful. 20 years worth of friends, photographs, memories, just life... and its impossible to get hold of a human being to help you solve your problem. Never been suspended before and I use Facebook to run 2 businesses. Not to mention the different websites that I sign into using Facebook. Robots really are dumber than people, but apparently Facebook is dumber because its replaced people with dumb robots. Email support doesnt even respond to you trying to get an age old legitimate profile back up and running, but they leave the ****mers to run free .

Facebook making the death of a family member exponentially worse
I am trying to turn my brother's facebook page into a memorial page. They are telling me the information I sent is not matching with the profile but nobody will get back to me and tell me which information is wrong. To make matters worse they won't let me resubmit the information. I waited 24 hours and I still can't resubmit this information. If this had happened a few days after my brother had died instead of a few months I would have had a nervous breakdown. You would thing a touchy subject like this would be handled with at least a little tact. Clearly not. This company is a waste of space.
