Coca-Cola Springboks Edition – Flat, Metallic-Tasting Coke and No Customer Service Follow-Up
We purchased a 24-pack of 500 ml Coca-Cola cans featuring the Springboks rugby team logo from Makro, and the quality has been extremely disappointing. The Coke tastes metallic, as though you are drinking straight from a tin, and it is flat. This is not the quality or taste we expect when purchasing Coca-Cola. What makes this experience even worse is the lack of customer service. On 7 October 2026, we contacted Coca-Cola by telephone and spent almost 10 minutes explaining the problem. We were told that the turnaround time was three working days. To date, we have received no follow-up, no explanation and no resolution. How can a major international brand promise a turnaround time and then leave a paying customer without any response? What we want from Coca-Cola: - An explanation for the lack of follow-up after our call on 7 October. - A proper investigation into the affected batch. - A refund or replacement for the defective product. - A response that demonstrates that customer complaints are taken seriously. We paid for a 24-pack of Coca-Cola and expected a product of acceptable quality. Instead, we have been left disappointed twice: first by the product and then by the customer service. Coca-Cola, please respond publicly and resolve this matter.

Indian Tonic Water tins failing
Schweppes Indian Tonic Water tins burst for no reason even when stored in a cool dark room. The new tins are much thinner than the old ones and from a case of 24 we end up being able to use only half or less as all the others spoil, leak or burst for no reason. They are perhaps saving on packaging but will lose in the long run as the failure rate of the packaging means one ends up paying double for the product.
