Cash Crusaders Bellair Failed to Notify Me About My Pawn Expiry – Now Demanding R6,000 for My TV I am

Cash Crusaders Bellair Failed to Notify Me About My Pawn Expiry – Now Demanding R6,000 for My TV I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Cash Crusaders Bel air. I pawned my TV at the store for a loan of R2,700. I was expecting to receive a link to extend my pawn loan, but I never received one. I also did not receive an SMS reminder notifying me that my pawn loan was about to expire. When I visited the store on the 20th, I was informed that my pawn loan had expired on the 16th and that my TV was already on display for sale. I was then told that I would have to pay R6,000 to buy back my own TV. I find this situation extremely frustrating and unfair, especially because I was not sent the extension link or reminder I expected. Had I received the necessary communication, I would have had the opportunity to address the matter before my pawn expired. I am now faced with paying more than double the original loan amount to recover my own television, despite the fact that I was not notified as expected. I would like Cash Crusaders Bel air and its management to investigate this matter urgently, explain why I did not receive the extension link or SMS notification, and provide a fair resolution. I am requesting that my TV be withheld from sale while this complaint is investigated and that I be given a reasonable opportunity to settle or extend my pawn loan under fair terms. I hope Cash Crusaders takes this complaint seriously and resolves the matter fairly.

Horrible experience at cash crusaders Nelspruit

Imagine being unemployed, struggling financially, and pawning your belongings just to survive. After MONTHS of paying, you finally raise R5,800 to get YOUR things back — only to find them damaged, broken, and incomplete. My lawnmower is broken, my pressure washer gun is missing, and my TV stand is damaged. My lawnmower has been awaiting repairs for over a month. And the response at Cash Crusaders Nelspruit? No apology. No remorse. I sacrificed so much to get my belongings back, only to be left heartbroken and furious. I went there to reclaim my property, not to collect someone else's negligence. ***, is this how you treat customers who are already struggling? I want answers, accountability, and my property restored. 💔😡 South Africa, is this acceptable? #CashCrusaders #ConsumerRights

Blacklisted phones

⚠️ MY EXPERIENCE AT CASH CRUSADERS RANDPARK RIDGE – I FELT PERSONALLY ATTACKED, VICTIMISED AND COMPLETELY HUMILIATED ⚠️ I am sharing this because what happened to me at Cash Crusaders Randpark Ridge yesterday has left me absolutely devastated. I went into the store because I had purchased an iPhone from them approximately one month ago, only to discover that the phone was blacklisted and rejected by the network. The phone was still within the six-month warranty, and I had barely had it for a month. I went there expecting help. Instead, I felt personally attacked, victimised, dismissed and humiliated. A male staff member told me that he wanted to “try something” on my phone. I agreed because I believed he was trying to assist me. I was NOT told that my phone was going to be erased. I was NOT told that this could delete my personal information. I did NOT knowingly consent to having my phone wiped. My phone was erased. That phone contained approximately 13 YEARS of my photographs, memories and personal information. Years of my life. Memories that cannot simply be replaced. And now I am facing the possibility that those memories have been permanently lost. But what made the situation even more traumatic was the way I was treated while I was in the store. I sat there and cried. I was visibly distressed and completely overwhelmed. Instead of being shown compassion, I felt that I was treated as though I was a problem. The store manager, Abigail, was, in my experience, extremely dismissive and confrontational. When I tried to speak to her and explain what had happened, I felt ignored and, on several occasions, she turned away and walked away from me. I felt personally targeted and victimised rather than treated as a customer who was genuinely asking for help. I also need to say something very uncomfortable. During my interaction with the store manager, I experienced what I perceived as racial hostility and a racial undertone in the way I was being spoken to and treated. I am not making that statement lightly. It is how the interaction made me feel, and it is something I believe deserves to be properly investigated rather than brushed aside. Nobody should walk into a store to resolve a problem and leave feeling racially targeted, humiliated and emotionally broken. I was sitting in that store crying, and I felt that the manager showed absolutely no empathy for what I was experiencing. I have never experienced customer service like this before. This is no longer simply about a phone. It is about: ❌ Being sold a phone that I subsequently discovered was blacklisted. ❌ Having a device that was still within its six-month warranty. ❌ My phone being erased after I was told someone wanted to “try something”, without me being properly informed that my personal data would be deleted. ❌ The potential permanent loss of approximately 13 years of irreplaceable memories. ❌ Being left crying and emotionally distressed inside the store. ❌ Feeling personally attacked and victimised when I was simply asking for assistance. ❌ And experiencing what I perceived as a racial undertone/hostility during my interaction with the store manager. I have escalated this matter to Cash Crusaders Head Office and I am demanding that this incident be properly investigated. I am also requesting that all relevant CCTV footage, staff records, transaction records and device/service records be preserved, because I want there to be an accurate record of what happened. I am sharing my experience because consumers deserve to know what happened to me. I trusted Cash Crusaders with my purchase. I trusted their staff to help me. I walked out feeling completely broken. I am asking Cash Crusaders for answers, accountability and a proper resolution. This should never happen to another customer. #CashCrusaders #RandparkRidge #CustomerService #ConsumerRights #SouthAfrica

Warranty Repair Delays, No Communication and Zero Accountability

I am extremely dissatisfied with the handling of a warranty repair by Cash Crusaders Sunvalley. On 1 October 2026, the store manager, Bjorn, confirmed in writing that a phone dropped off in the morning would be repaired by the following afternoon. I only handed in my phone on Monday morning, 19 October, because I rely heavily on it for essential daily activities and needed to plan around being without it. I specifically delayed taking it in until I could accommodate the promised turnaround time. It is now Wednesday afternoon, 21 October, and I have received no meaningful update, no confirmed repair status and no indication of when my phone will be returned. Despite having to follow up myself, the only response was that someone was following up with the technician. An employee subsequently called me, not to provide an actual update, but to defend herself by explaining that she had passed my message to Bjorn. I was then informed that Bjorn was not even at the store. Passing messages internally is not customer feedback, and the absence of one manager should not bring customer service to a standstill. I have explained that without my phone, I cannot access my banking facilities, personal accounts or digital payment services. I cannot even arrange and pay for transport to collect it. I specifically requested assistance with delivery to my workplace at Living Hope in Capri, which is close to the branch. This request has not been addressed. Had I known the repair would exceed the promised turnaround time, I could have made alternative arrangements. The most frustrating aspect is not simply the delay. It is the complete lack of proactive communication, accountability and ownership. I should not have to repeatedly chase a national franchise for basic information about my own property. I expect Cash Crusaders Franchising to intervene immediately, establish the actual status of my phone and arrange its prompt return. This experience has been entirely unacceptable.

No Customer Service & Lack of Communication

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and service received regarding my warranty claim. I have received no feedback from Customer Service following my telephone call on 23 September 2026 and my subsequent follow-up on 06 October 2026. Despite numerous attempts to obtain an update, I have been left completely in the dark regarding the status of my device. I collected the phone from Cash Crusaders Pinetown on 20 October 2026. Upon reviewing the dispatch documentation, it appears that the phone was merely sent to Cash Crusaders Corporate and no meaningful resolution was provided. Furthermore, the report provided by Nhlba alleges physical damage. I strongly dispute this finding. As can clearly be seen from the attached photographs, the phone has no visible physical damage whatsoever. The issue is not the result of misuse, neglect, or accidental damage. The device powers on but the screen displays only stripes and remains unusable. When collecting the phone from the Pinetown branch, we were informed that the phone is unrepairable. If this is indeed the case, I insist that the warranty be honoured through a refund, replacement or appropriate remedy. The device is less than a year old, and this matter has been ongoing since August while the phone has effectively been out of my possession and unusable. I also wish to point out that the Doogee S200 was marketed and sold as a rugged phone, capable of withstanding conditions beyond normal daily use. My experience has been the exact opposite. After researching numerous online reviews, it is clear that similar concerns have been raised regarding the quality and reliability of this product. I purchased this device in good faith and relied on the representations made at the point of sale. The fact remains that I paid approximately R6,000.00 for this phone. This is not a minor purchase, and I do not believe it is unreasonable to expect a device of this value to last longer than a few months or for its warranty to be honored when a manufacturing fault arises. At this stage, I require a member of management to contact me urgently today to discuss this matter and provide a clear explanation as to: Why the warranty claim was rejected. Why there has been virtually no communication from Customer Service. Why an allegedly unrepairable phone is being returned to me without an acceptable resolution. What immediate steps Cash Crusaders intends to take to resolve this matter. Should I not receive a satisfactory response, I will have no option but to escalate this matter further through the appropriate consumer protection channels and pursue all other remedies available to me. A public review will also be posted if no answers have been received and resolved. Please note under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), if an item is genuinely defective within the warranty window, I legally have the right to choose between a repair, replacement, or full refund. I trust that management will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves.

Poor experience at Cash Crusaders raslouw and DOOGEE S200

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Cash Crusaders Raslouw and the DOOGEE S200 Product: DOOGEE S200 Store: Cash Crusaders Raslouw Issue: Advertised durability concerns, repeated damage, excessive repair delays, poor communication and unsatisfactory customer service. I am writing this complaint because I have reached the end of my patience with both the DOOGEE S200 phone and the service I have received from Cash Crusaders Raslouw. I purchased a brand-new DOOGEE S200 from Cash Crusaders Raslouw because I specifically wanted a rugged phone with a good battery life, water resistance and the ability to withstand accidental drops. These were not random expectations; they were the exact features that influenced my purchasing decision. According to the DOOGEE website, the phone was advertised as being able to withstand falls from heights of up to 1.8 metres. It was also advertised as waterproof for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 metres. The drop-resistance information has since disappeared from the website, but I have screenshots of the original claims. 1. First damage and an unacceptable repair process The first time the phone was damaged, it fell out of my pocket while I was running. The screen and front camera broke. I returned the phone to the same Cash Crusaders branch where I purchased it because I was informed that other branches could not accept it for repairs. What followed was an extremely frustrating process that took more than two months. I had to phone the store almost every day to find out what was happening with my phone. Instead of receiving proper updates and assistance, I was left chasing the people who were supposed to be handling the repair. Eventually, I spoke to the manager of the repair department and explained how the phone had fallen, why I had purchased it, and what the manufacturer had advertised about its durability. After several days of arguing, I was told that I had tampered with the phone and that they would not accept responsibility. I was so frustrated that I even offered to obtain CCTV footage showing how the phone fell. Unfortunately, the available footage did not go back far enough to cover the incident. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability and the fact that the advertised durability claims seemed to count for nothing when I raised a legitimate concern. 2. The speaker stopped working On another occasion, I was simply cleaning the phone with damp toilet paper when one of the speakers stopped working. At this point, I had already experienced the lengthy repair process and the difficulty of getting answers from the store. I decided not to take it back because I did not want to waste more time and money dealing with the same situation again. 3. Second breakage and another lengthy repair Last month, the phone fell from my bed onto a flat tiled surface and broke again. I returned to Cash Crusaders Raslouw. The staff member who assisted me initially advised that it would take approximately one week for the phone to be inspected, followed by another week for the repair once payment had been made. Although this already seemed excessive, I agreed to the process. I deliberately chose not to raise the previous advertising and durability dispute again because I did not want to go through the same argument all over again. After two weeks without any feedback, I called the store. I was then told by the manager that the process actually takes 21 days and that she would follow up on the repair. Once again, I had to do all the chasing myself. I had to call to obtain a quotation, call again for progress updates, follow up on the phone being sent back from head office to the store, and finally call to establish whether I could collect it. In the end, the entire process took more than a month. My own manager asked a very reasonable question: why does it take so long to repair a phone when parts can apparently be sourced from China within approximately a week? It is a fair question, especially considering how long I had already waited during the first repair. 4. Poor workmanship and the screen protector incident When I finally collected the phone during my lunch break, I immediately noticed that the screen protector had been installed terribly. There were bubbles everywhere, along with a large piece of black material trapped underneath it. I went back inside and questioned the staff member who had assisted me. I was told that the material was not part of the screen protector and that it should be removed. When I had time to inspect the situation properly later that day, I realised that the phone had originally been supplied with two screen protectors. I had used the first one previously, meaning the store had used the second one during the repair. Because it had been installed so poorly, I had to remove and discard it. I returned to the store the following day to ask for a replacement, as the supplied accessory had effectively been wasted due to the poor installation. I was told that they could not assist me and was referred to a phone shop that did not stock the relevant DOOGEE accessories. At this point, I had simply had enough. 5. The cost, frustration and complete loss of confidence After all this, I have spent almost half the original purchase price of the phone on two repairs, and the speaker problem was not even resolved. I purchased a rugged phone because I wanted something durable and reliable. Instead, I have spent an unreasonable amount of time chasing repairs, making phone calls, trying to obtain basic updates and dealing with problems that should have been handled far more professionally. I now feel that I have to look after this supposedly rugged phone more carefully than my personal Samsung S23. I understand that no phone is indestructible and that accidental damage can happen. My complaint is not simply that the phone broke. It is the combination of the advertised durability claims that influenced my purchase, the repeated damage, the excessive repair turnaround times, the lack of proactive communication and the poor handling of the screen protector. I also want to make it clear that I do not usually write complaints about businesses. I work in sales myself, so I understand what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a dissatisfied customer's complaint. I try to be fair and give businesses an opportunity to resolve problems before taking matters further. In this case, I believe I have been more than patient and have given Cash Crusaders Raslouw several opportunities to put things right. What I would like Cash Crusaders and DOOGEE to address I would appreciate a proper response to the following: Why were the advertised durability claims not meaningfully addressed when I first raised concerns about the phone's damage? Why did both repair processes take so long, with little or no proactive communication? Why was the screen protector installed so poorly, and why was I refused assistance when I raised the issue? What will Cash Crusaders and DOOGEE do to address my overall experience and restore my confidence in their products and service? I am not looking for arguments or excuses. I am looking for accountability, a reasonable explanation and a fair resolution. My experience has left me deeply disappointed in both the DOOGEE S200 and the service I received from Cash Crusaders Raslouw. I would strongly encourage potential buyers to research the product carefully and consider my experience before making a purchase. I hope this complaint receives the attention that my repeated attempts to resolve these issues directly with the store did not.
