Cash Crusaders Bellair Failed to Notify Me About My Pawn Expiry – Now Demanding R6,000 for My TV
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Cash Crusaders Bel air.
I pawned my TV at the store for a loan of R2,700. I was expecting to receive a link to extend my pawn loan, but I never received one. I also did not receive an SMS reminder notifying me that my pawn loan was about to expire.
When I visited the store on the 20th, I was informed that my pawn loan had expired on the 16th and that my TV was already on display for sale. I was then told that I would have to pay R6,000 to buy back my own TV.
I find this situation extremely frustrating and unfair, especially because I was not sent the extension link or reminder I expected. Had I received the necessary communication, I would have had the opportunity to address the matter before my pawn expired.
I am now faced with paying more than double the original loan amount to recover my own television, despite the fact that I was not notified as expected.
I would like Cash Crusaders Bel air and its management to investigate this matter urgently, explain why I did not receive the extension link or SMS notification, and provide a fair resolution. I am requesting that my TV be withheld from sale while this complaint is investigated and that I be given a reasonable opportunity to settle or extend my pawn loan under fair terms.
I hope Cash Crusaders takes this complaint seriously and resolves the matter fairly.
