Internet Express dropped my monitor in transit, then blamed my packaging – Bobshop failed to properly mediate

Failure to properly mediate claim on order *** – Internet Express dropped monitor, Bob Shop shifted all blame to packaging and closed ticket Body (ready to send or post): Good day Bob Shop Support / Management, I am writing regarding order *** (ticket originally handled under Bob Shop and later Internet Express ticket ***). The buyer received a cracked, unusable monitor. After reviewing the photographs, Bob Shop correctly noted that the packaging consisted of a single layer of plastic and a cardboard box with insufficient internal cushioning. You advised that a refund would be processed once the item was returned, and later confirmed the packaging did not meet the required standards for a fragile electronic item. However, our own investigation of the returned item and the damage pattern confirmed that the monitor was dropped by the courier (Internet Express) during transit. This is consistent with the severity of the cracking. Internet Express has previously successfully delivered similar screens for me without incident. Despite this, both Bob Shop and Internet Express refused to accept any shared responsibility. The claim was closed solely on the basis of packaging, with repeated statements that "the claim cannot be resolved as courier negligence." My repeated requests for accountability regarding the courier's mishandling were ignored, and the ticket was closed while the dispute remained unresolved. As the seller I have absorbed the full financial impact of the damage caused by the courier's negligence. Bob Shop's mediation failed to properly investigate or balance the evidence of transit damage against the packaging shortcoming. Closing the ticket and redirecting me to create new tickets for related issues further obstructed resolution. I request that Bob Shop reopen the matter, properly investigate the handling of the parcel by Internet Express, and provide a fair resolution that does not leave the seller solely liable for courier negligence. I look forward to your urgent response. Kind regards, Marcelo Muianga EM Graphics Design / SM Technology *** ***

Very disappointed with my recent experience with Bob Shop

I'm very disappointed with my recent experience with Bob Shop. There were no clear instructions regarding the shipment limitations with RAM. When I contacted customer support to clarify the collection, I received very poor service, including having the phone slammed down in my ear. As a result, I had to use an alternative courier, which increased my shipping costs and caused me to lose even more money on the sale. Unfortunately, this experience has left me extremely unhappy with Bob Shop, and I will not be using the platform again.

NO Service

Very very bad service. I have been a seller/buyer for over 20 years, and in the past I was more than satisfied with the support. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them anymore since they introduced their own "Courier" service, which you MUST use, to deliver your items. I lost an order of over R3,5k, and now it seems my latest smaller order, R550, is also not going to materialise. I am now also blocked from seeing my *** on their support system - must be because they can't assist people who ask serious questions regarding their system deficiencies. I will see this transaction through to the end; i.e. once completed, either way, I will be removing all my listings from their platform.

Bobshop favours buyers not sellers!!!

Extremely disappointing experience with Bob Shop. The buyer clearly did NOT read the description and when I made them aware of this all they could say was "but I am not happy" and bobshop still took their side. The process was geared towards accommodating the buyer rather than objectively considering both sides and the actual listing. Bobshop made excuses for the buyer, which the buyer themselves DID NOT MENTION. As a seller, it is incredibly discouraging to provide accurate information, cooperate throughout the process, and still feel that your side of the matter carries little weight. Never using the platform again as a seller and a buyer.

DISHONEST - READ THEIR VERY WELL HIDDEN Ts and Cs

******** ****MER COMPANY. Bob Shop reminds me of those reprehensible cup-and-ball con artists who swindle unwitting tourists: every interaction appears carefully designed to distract, misdirect and extract money while concealing the true nature of what is happening. There is zero transparency. Sellers are intentionally and knowingly misled at every turn. This company represents everything that is wrong with large corporations and precisely why they should not be supported. The “refundable” account-verification deduction Bob Shop tells you that it needs to verify your bank account by deducting R1, which will supposedly be refunded immediately. Why is a verified bank letter not sufficient? Because this appears to be less about verifying your account than ensuring that Bob Shop has free rein to access it and **** your wallet. The R1 was never refunded. When I queried this, Bob Shop laughably claimed that it had credited the R1 to my Bob Shop account so that I could receive a discount on a future purchase from them. I never saw this alleged credit anywhere in my account. More importantly, this phantom “credit” was never disclosed upfront. They promised a refund and then quietly converted my money into an alleged credit designed to force me back onto their platform. An “order” I never placed I then received an email out of the blue thanking me for my order. I had ordered NOTHING from Bob Shop. It turns out that Bob Shop had created an unsolicited R25 voucher order that now sits permanently in my cart. This is supposedly a voucher that I would purchase and gift to someone else so that they could shop on Bob Shop. I would do no such thing, and I cannot find any way to remove it. Even calling it a “voucher” appears deliberately misleading because the word creates the impression that you have won something or received something for free. I have no doubt that, if I proceeded to checkout, Bob Shop would charge me for it and then claim that I had willingly purchased the voucher. This is another calculated exercise in creating confusion and manufacturing consent. A “30-day” Premium Boost that lasts four days I paid for a Premium Boost on one of my listed products. Bob Shop advertises this Boost as valid for 30 days, yet immediately after paying, I discovered that mine would expire in only four days. When I called customer care, they confirmed that my product listing would close in four days and that the Premium Boost for which they had just charged me would therefore also end in four days. I explained that this made no sense: my products were not sold out, and I reasonably understood that the listing would remain active until the available stock had sold. The customer-care agent repeatedly laughed at me in a mocking manner and told me that I should read the Ts and Cs. Apparently, Bob Shop automatically closes a listing 30 days after it was first posted, regardless of the seller’s sales or remaining stock. It will nevertheless happily sell that seller a supposedly 30-day Premium Boost just four days before closing the listing. When I pointed out how utterly bizarre and indefensible this was, the agent repeatedly insisted that I had chosen to purchase the Boost and that Bob Shop lists my products for free. Neither statement addressed the actual issue. It was the verbal equivalent of a magician’s misdirection: divert attention from the deception by talking about something entirely irrelevant. The problem is not that I chose to purchase a Boost. The problem is that Bob Shop sold me a product advertised as lasting 30 days while its system already knew that it would terminate after four. That is not meaningful transparency or informed consent; it is a cleverly engineered trap. I have never encountered a company so shockingly disingenuous in its treatment of sellers. The apparent deception is not confined to one isolated incident—it seems woven into every level of the customer journey. Truly, I curse everyone at Bob Shop who knowingly participates in this dishonesty to die a slow, agonising death from a terminal disease.

I bought Item on Bob shop not working called seller directly on phone was told courier would collect and see what was wrong and if I decided still didnt want it would refund. They collected it and said was fine there were two cd in cd player .I informed them via whats app I had onky put one in They said that these machines come with a cd in it .I told them that is unusual I had never heard of such a thing ,basically the were sayng I should have known there was a CD .I said then I should have been informed or received instructions. They stopped messages never acknowledged that there were no instructions and ignored the fact they said would refund me. Next minute I get a message item on its way back with courier. I receive it and headphones still don't work I inform them and ask where my CD is they don't answer.these questions. They have now gone silent and I am out of money R1300 plus no CD in fact this was my daughter who bought it with her birthday and Christmas money how disappointing for a child .
