XNEELO ****S businesses during COVID-19 lockdown!
Xneelo (previously Hetzner) the webhosting business has shown no compassion or understanding during COVID-19 causing website businesses to go under! AAAX, being a tourist related website for the last 12 years, all the business we had accumulated over the last six months was cancelled and we had to use all our available resources to refund those customers placing us in overdraft and in a serious cash flow predicament. We made a loan application to our bank but were told that they could only assist us once our account was no longer in arrears. Our monthly webhosting payment was due to Xneelo and with no funds we requested that they postpone payment until after lockdown. They rep**** that they were not a financial institution and gave us an extension of 5 days. When speaking to a ‘Master Consultant’ of Xneelo over the phone explaining our predicament in detail and if we did not have a website or access to our emails our business would not recover and would no longer exist. We were told again that Xneelo were not a financial institution and they could not assist us. I asked why that when they were Hetzner they once extended our payment for 3 months but now during these extreme times, under Xneelo, they won’t? Obviously this is not the brand Hetzner.de that we signed up for originally. They extended our hosting for 2 weeks and then terminated our account forcing us to closedown permanently still during lockdown as will others in the same position using Xneelo.
As a mass-market web hosting provider, we have considered how best to support all our customers during this difficult time. Ensuring that our network and supporting services continue to offer the experience our customers have grown accustomed to is how we will continue to do so. We do understand and fully appreciate the dire situation that you and many other businesses face at this time. However, when it comes to financial assistance, xneelo is not a credit provider. We encourage customers that are struggling at this time to seek relief from their financial institution who is mandated by the government to provide support to businesses during this time.
It is not that we are uncaring, it is simply that we are not geared to offer financial aid at scale - hence providing the above resource that lists the financial institutions that are offering support during COVID-19. As a valued and long-standing customer, we sincerely empathise with your predicament and would like to offer an additional extension to give you time to source alternative aid. A service manager will be in contact shortly to assist you accordingly.
