Prospective Clients Beware

I signed up for a month-to-month internet deal with this company in April 2018 and everything was going really well. The reason for me choosing a month-to-month contract specifically was because my lease was going to expire a few months after and I was considering moving. I did end up moving and subsequently ended up canceling the WIRUlink subscription. I was then slammed with numerous "cancellation costs" that were because I canceled it within one year of getting the contract. I tried to reason with them and they explained that it was part of the T's & C's of the contract I got. Keep in mind that when canceling this was never explained to me and I was only presented with the extra payments after - I do agree that I signed the T's & C's but I think it should be told that these costs would be incurred if I would like to cancel. Now I've arranged to pay the outstanding amounts split over three payments. I've made two payments already and cannot wait to never have to deal with WIRUlink and Hesthea again in my entire life. She never responds to emails. Last week I asked her to send me a statement of my balance to make sure I am due only one more "instalment" and followed up this week. To no surprise, I am still waiting for a statement.

Do not sign up with this company, the customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. They will sell you the moon and the stars until you sign up and then you'll never receive service after that.

Supporting an "indie" ISP is just not worth it when they conduct business like they don't need your business.

Dear Mike

Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns. We appreciate your valuable feedback to help us improve our service to all current and future customers.

It is not possible to sign up for WIRUlink services online without agreeing to the terms and conditions. The Vumatel FTTH month to month agreements clearly state that you will be liable for the router and Vumatel ISP Activation fee (at cost). This is also repeated on email communication with the installation progress emails. During the online ordering process, you can stop any time to have our friendly sales team take over and explain everything in more detail. You can contact them at *** or ***.

Our helpful accounts team is available at *** or ***.

Do not hesitate to contact us directly discuss any other questions you may have.

Yours faithfully

WIRUlink Management

Best regards,

Still, this is not the relevant issue. In my previous post, I clearly said that I understand that it's in the terms and conditions that I had signed. My problem is so clear that I am waiting for a statement to pay my account! You are proving my point so well by responding to this post without having to read it properly or, most importantly, sending me a damn statement that I've been asking for.

Dear Mike

It seems like you emailed Hesthea in our Accounts Department directly and not the team on ***. Hesthea has been on maternity leave for more than a month, hence you not getting any response when emailing her directly.

We will make sure that Hesthea's "Out of Office" email reply is in fact working and also make sure that the rest of the Accounts team send you a statement displaying the outstanding balance on your account.

Yours faithfully

WIRUlink Top Management

Lame excuse and also not my problem. It should be the person in charge of that team's job to make sure the clients she is overseeing are being dealt with.
