Large cancellation fees

Recently I experienced the unexpected reality that the wording in WIRUlinks contract to be very misleading. Stating that a reasonable cancelation fee would be deducted when canceling the contract, only to find that they charged me the same amount as what i would have paid per month all at once with only a tiny discount hardly noticeable discount. Their fees are already very high with me paying roughly R1000 per month & then being charged a large amount for leaving my contract 2 months early due to me moving house. This is a huge shock after being with them for such a long time. I do not recommend anyone signing a contract with them.

Dear Veronica,

We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that the standard was not met in your interaction with us.

When you originally signed up for the Fibre Service, you opted to go for a longer Term Agreement to avoid paying upfront installation fees. We value our clients and great service and we try our best to be as transparent with our clients as possible. It is due to this that a Service Contract is provided to you and requires your acceptance prior to the order being placed with us. All the information provided was pertained therein.

The Fibre Service provider set out these costs and as a third party infrastructure, all contractual obligations need to be adhered to accordingly (including discounts on any settlement fees).

Please understand that we do not take advantage of our clients and only have their best interests at heart.

Yours faithfully,
WIRUlink Management

You need to state that cancelation fees will be similar to paying the full installments per month. There is no real cost saving. I offered to give back the router as i don't need it & would prefer to get at least some extra money back. This option was refused. As Wifi is included in my new rental. Either way... i am very disappointed in your services & will Not recommend or use it again. Stop using the words Reasonable, rather be honest & say how much it will cost so that people don't take the contract in the first place.

Dear Veronica,

All information was pertained in the Service Contract whereby the settlement calculation is stated as follows:

"A reasonable cancellation fee is calculated as the total monthly cost of the services and/or equipment rental, multip**** with the remaining term months, less 10% (ten percent) early settlement discount."

The router was purchased once off and thus you will keep ownership of said indoor router to sell or give away at your own discretion.

Should you have any further concerns or queries, please feel free to reach out to us at *** or ***.

Yours faithfully,
