BEWARE NOT TO FALL IN THE SAME TRAP THAT WE DID

We left Wirulink as from end of September 2020, due to poor speed and their inability to fix it after two attempts. Then they proceeded to debit our account with R 1917-52 (which we stopped) at the start of this month, which when we queried it, they said was their removal fee. When i told them their technician merely collected from my hands what i had already removed of theirs, they said, the cancellation fee in terms of the contract is actually R 950, and that they would re-debit my account with that amount.

Once again i reiterated that we removed the equipment ourselves, then they said they would reduce it to R 517-50. I told them that it was unfair, seeing as they could not resolve our issues with the slow speed and that what we received was not close to what we had upgraded to at the end of 2019. In light of this i felt it was fair that they call it quits. However, they are adamant that they are going to blacklist us if we do not allow the R 517-50 go off our bank account.

To me it is a matter of principle, rather than about the measly R 517,50. However, it is unfortunate that it will prove too costly for me to pursue and try and claim monies back for non-performance in terms of the contract which we now terminated. So i suppose we will have to pay them what shouldn't be due to them.

We have moved to another company and i am glad to say our issues are something of the past and the speeds we are getting now are better than what we are paying for. Our current supplier it seems has over delivered on service rather than the other way around.

My issue is not isolated, when reading the other reviews of clients who have had run ins with Wirulink.

Dear Andre,

Thank you for the feedback provided.

You’ve contacted our Helpdesk team twice

On the 30th of July, a request has been logged to upgrade your services for 48 hours to 20 Mbps.
In August upon following up with your services it was found that Mikrotik AP was not connected. A team was dispatched to site to set up the Mikrotik as the main router and TP-Link as AP for future troubleshooting. After the team rebooted, changed the WiFi details and upated the firmware on the AP, they checked and tested that the AP is back online, stable, getting full package speed.

Other than these two, no calls were logged with us for technical issues.

In your cancellation request, you referred to being able to get more speed for less from Vodacom fibre.

We had done our best to be as accommodating as possible given the above circumstances while keeping to our contractual obligations.

Do not hesitate to take this matter up with our Customer Service team if you feel the information we have on record is incorrect, for us to rectify this.

We trust you will have a trusting relationship with your new provider.

Yours faithfully

WIRUlink Customer Service
