Selling Cars with Defects

Be very carefull of these guys!!! They bought an Audi A3 at an MFC auction (I have the paperwork, they left it all in the glovebox), MFC did a full Dekra report on the car showing 3 pages of issues and error codes on the vehicle, one of the issues being the car does not go into gear at some times. They sell me the car, few months in we picked up this issue a few times. Now they claim they did not know anything about the problem, and its also not their problem but something I need to take up with Audi SA. They are not taking any responsibility, although I jave all the paperwork that proofs that they did know about the issue and sold me a car with defects. How is this honest business? Or is honest business just not something you get these days?

Disappointed Customer - Extremely Disappointed With Poor Service and Lack of Communication

I am extremely frustrated with the service I have received. I initially booked my vehicle for a service on 17 June 2026 and was given an appointment for 19 June 2026. I made the necessary arrangements and delivered my vehicle as instructed. Later, I received a call informing me that the dealership had captured my VIN number incorrectly when my booking was created. As a result, the required service parts were never ordered. This was an internal administrative error on the dealership's side and not something caused by me. During the visit, I was also informed that a vehicle recall had been completed, something I was not previously aware of. I was then advised that the required service parts had been ordered from Avis and that I would be contacted once the parts arrived so that I could bring the vehicle back for the service. Around 29 June, I received another call advising that the parts were expected to arrive on 30 June or 1 July and that the dealership would contact me to arrange the service. To date, I have received no further communication, no updates, and no service booking. My vehicle remains unserviced. What makes this situation even more concerning is that the delay was caused entirely by the dealership's error. I fulfilled my obligations by booking and presenting the vehicle on the agreed date, yet I am now left waiting indefinitely with no communication or resolution. I am also concerned about the impact this may have on my vehicle warranty and service history. Should any warranty-related issues arise due to the missed service interval, the dealership must take full responsibility, as the delay was not caused by me. I expect: A clear explanation as to why no one has contacted me since being advised that the parts were arriving. An urgent update on the status of the parts and service booking. Written confirmation that my warranty and service plan will not be negatively affected as a result of the dealership's administrative errors and delays. Improved communication and accountability going forward. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I hope management will address the matter urgently.

Careful of william hunt the glen

I bought a citroen from william hunt the glen, january 2024. I ask what does the manufacturing plan have to do with me purchasing the car from you in January 2024. The service plan extension you mentioned to us was that after the servicing with william hunt has reached the 3yr/60000km then I would need to have a service plan. What you offered us was an insurance shortfall thing which turned out to be pointless. If this is what conniving practices are in place then all is well, thank you for the colourful explanation to justify this.... This is what they tell me after I asked if I still have 1 more service as per the service book and their response is truly cunning. Why would a manufacture plan have anything to do with the end user and does not get communicated to the customer when they purchase the car, instead get told sign here, sign here and take out a shortfall thing that has no purpose at all.

Super satisfied customer

"I’m so glad I took my Isuzu D‑Max V‑Cross to The Glen. From booking the service to collecting my vehicle in the afternoon, the experience was seamless and professional. Every staff member — from security to the service manager — made me feel welcome and valued. Huge shoutout to the team for treating every customer with the same care and professionalism. An absolute pleasure!"

Never Use Williams Hunt The Glen

I purchased an Isuzu X-Rider for R600,000 and the service I received has been extremely disappointing. From the start, promises were made that were simply not delivered. There was no proper handover experience — not even something as basic as a ribbon on the vehicle, which I had to request myself. The original sales consultant, Brian, left the business shortly after, and I was then handed over to Tumelo, who also left. I was promised a gift back in February 2026, which I have still not received. I was also assured that my license fees would be refunded. A month later, I was passed on to a new manager, Raees, who promised resolution within 24–48 hours. To date, I am still waiting, and my messages are being ignored. As someone based in Durban, I expected better service from a Johannesburg dealership — that was clearly a mistake. If you value service delivery and accountability, I strongly recommend using another dealer. I will not be recommending this company to anyone.

Wolf in sheep's clothing, ******

My mother's car was collected and they told her because someone else was inspecting it is no longer covered by warranty, we accepted that, then they sent a quote for the repairs total R18k we swallowed the pill gathered the funds and paid because we need the car back, they promised it'll be ready in 21 days, the time passes they keep telling us it'll be ready the next day for 10 days. Close to 40 days later they say that the car is making noises and there is another part that requires replacing and it is R14k. I am beyond frustrated at the unprofessionalism and the ***** like behavior
