Worst service provider
I have been with WebAfrica for 7 years, no contract was signed when I joined. Now that the house linked to that address is getting sold I reached out to WebAfrica to cancel the services. They have a cancellation fee of R1000. After so many years of paying them and using their Services it is unbelievable that in this type of situation where we are moving overseas and now need to cancel the service to be hit with this cancellation fee. I asked the agent to show me where this was stipulated as no contract was signed. He directed me to the customer zone. He confirmed that on accepting installation we agree to terms and conditions. The issue is that since these are only on the website. they can constantly change their terms and conditions and the customer will never know what clauses are being put in place. They also additionally requested the return of the router. And failure to do so results in an additional R 1000. Another sly thing about them is when I told them I am immigrating and the house is sold they were trying to get me to speak to the new owner to sign a change in ownership document so that I could get a better deal from them. Ie no cancellation fee. I would never trick someone into doing that to them, that would mean they would have a hard time cancelling if they were to move or sell up. Apart from their rude consultants who refuse to answer questions, they want us as customers to sell and there disgusting packages to unknowing individuals. Please be warned when it comes to WebAfrica, you will never be treated as a valued customer no matter how long you are with them and they have a lot of clauses making it impossible to cancel contracts.
