Worst Service Provider::

Web Africa and Vuma: Worse service provider I have ever used, it's been 4 day with no internet connection (outage) they say, with no updates from Web Africa or courtesy to update the resolution of this outage or even an explanation. I have been contacting them everyday and the same answer I am getting: Technicians are working on resolving the problem and it will be sorted soon, when is soon course already it's been 4 days now.

You get told you will be re-imbersed for the days you did not have internet, it's the 3rd time now with this outages on different accasions and I have never received a credit of the days, I did not have internet or reimbursed for those days.

Another issue with this service provider, you buy a voucher for a month but you get cut off before the month ends or before the 30 days finish, eg: I buy the voucher on the 1st and I will be disconnected on the 25th every month and you won't get credit for the 5 days you got disconnected.

When you want to cancel their line, they will tell you, you must wait 30 days after cancellation without internet or connection, how when you need internet to work as ( Work from home) or connect your TV to watch your favorite shows.

Good Day

I just called Vuma and the consultant told me Vuma has been calling an 073 number that I don't have an never gave them, I have stated my numbers: ***/ *** and I have not been called on those numbers then they decided to close my case without even coming to my house or bother resolving my internet issue.

I have stated numerous times that I am home and I work from home, and they did not even bother to come.

If the was another ISP except Vuma believe you me I will take it, how fair is this it's been 8 days without internet I can't work watch TV or connect, and the technician decided to call once and does not even bother to come to my house and closes the ticket, and month end I must pay the full subscription while I have not had internet for the pass 8 days.

Pls tell me is this fair??

Thank you for the response.

I contacted Web Africa to re open my fault as Vuma closed it without resolving my issue.

Will the 8 days without internet be reimbursed or my voucher will end before month end as always and have to buy a 30 day voucher where I only get 23 day's or in this case it will be 20 days of internet service.

Yesterday a technician came to check my internet issue, a very kind person I must say, I forgot his name, apologies to him.

He checked my cable n router and said the is physical damage on it and went to check the main pole that connect my cable for internet, and said it was damaged and it shows that when another Tech came to install internet to my neighbour he mistakenly did damage to my connection.

I am still shocked to my core, I lost internet becouse an *********** Tech was not able to his job well and now I have to wait for the same *********** Tech to fix his mistake, who is the fool here, how can Vuma allow such, me on the other hand I am left on the edge, in this case what one must do???

I don't have words to express my disappointment with Vuma.

When Tech guy who came to check my line stated they come yesterday (Friday) to fix the mess they did.
Did they come nope, instead I received a call stating the Technician will come with 48 hours to install n new cable, clearly I am not an important client, if I had a status or money maybe my internet will be sorted by now.

No update today nothing quietness then it means I must wait another week for the Technician to come fix the mess Vuma Tech did.

How lucky em I.

At long last after 2 weeks the Technician came and installed the new cable, internet it's back on line, even if the speed it's 12Mbps instead of 20Mbps.

Internet restored.

1. I wanted to find out now my compensation of the 14 days without internet service, Vuma Technician is the one who made a mess and broke my cable when he was doing an installation, it was not an Outage or self inflicted it was an error (negligence) from Vuma Technician.

2. Issue of the voucher that ends (services disconnected) before the 30 days circle.

I have not received a formal apology from Web Africa or Vumatel regarding this negligence.

Angry client.

Hi Dududzile  Thank you for sharing your concerns, and we completely understand how frustrating this experience has been. We’re glad to hear your internet is back online, even if the speed is slightly lower than expected. Here are a few steps that can sometimes help improve fibre performance:
  • Restart your router/modem – sometimes a fresh connection can stabilise speeds.
  • Check the fibre cable connection – ensure it’s securely plugged into the router and the ONT (Optical Network Terminal).
  • Reduce device congestion – disconnect devices not in use to free bandwidth.
  • Use a wired connection – Ethernet connections often provide more stable speeds than Wi-Fi.
  • Check for local interference – Wi-Fi routers should be placed away from walls, microwaves, and other electronics that can affect the signal.
Your feedback helps us improve our service, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced.

Warm Regards,

Hi  Duduzile. Thanks for following up with us. We completely understand why you’re querying the 14 days without connectivity and the voucher process. That kind of downtime is disruptive, and we appreciate you taking the time to raise it with us. In this case, the downtime was linked to infrastructure matters managed by the network provider. Because of this, we are not able to incur or apply downtime compensation directly. We know that’s not the outcome you were hoping for, and we truly understand the impact it has had on your experience. To help you avoid any further interruptions going forward, we recommend keeping your service active by renewing your Easy Pay voucher timeously. You can do this quickly online: Pay Online via Webafrica Payment Portal
• Go to: pay.webafrica.co.za/vumatelreach
• Enter your registered phone number and receive an OTP via SMS
• Choose your payment method (card) and complete the payment
• Your service will activate instantly once payment is confirmed If you’d like us to take another look at your specific case or walk you through the payment process, you’re more than welcome to share your details with us. We’re here to help make this as smooth as possible for you moving forward.

So it means the 14 days with no internet connection does not matter or count. Where I was not able to work or do anything.

Even if it was Vuma technician is the one who was neglegent when he was doing the installation for my neighbour and broke my internet cable, it does not matter.

Is this how you treat your customers.???
