WORST ISP PROVIDER OF ALL TIMES, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

Subject: Formal Complaint – Gross Negligence & Failure to Deliver Paid Internet Service

To Whom It May Concern,

I am compelled to lodge this formal complaint due to gross negligence, unacceptable delays, and what borders on *****ulent billing practices by Webafrica.

I have been a paying customer for over a year, but since 1 September 2025, my internet service has been offline for almost a full month despite full payment. I work from home, and this failure has had devastating consequences: loss of productivity, additional personal costs to stay connected, and immense stress.

Throughout this ordeal, Webafrica has continued to debit my account and even charge cancellation fees — yet no service has been delivered. This is not only unfair; it is ********* and exploitative.

Worse still, the handling of my complaint has been a disgrace. I have been bounced endlessly from one agent to another, across departments, with zero accountability or resolution. Every interaction ends with the same hollow promises: “wait 24–48 hours” — a line I have now heard for over three weeks.

Here is the list of agents and their responses:

Cameron S. – acknowledged MetroFibre issue, transferred me again.

Keegan E. – asked for ONT/router photos, promised escalation, no resolution.

Yolanda K. – confirmed inactivity, passed me on.

Jade S. – verified my details, then pushed me to billing.

Sinovuyo S. – falsely claimed my line was activated, then transferred me.

Tshepiso M. – stalled with provisioning, then transferred me again.

Faieka A. – admitted escalation was only done “today” (weeks late) and told me to wait another 24–48 hours. Could not explain what happens to my paid subscription.

Sandisiwe – last agent, where the same cycle repeated.

This pattern of incompetence is documented in my transcripts. I have repeated my ID number, address, and account details hundreds of times. I have been treated dismissively, **** to about “activations,” and forced through endless chatbot loops instead of being given real solutions.

This constitutes a breach of contract:

I paid for internet service and received nothing for an entire billing cycle.

I was continuously billed and threatened with cancellation fees despite Webafrica’s own failure.

I was promised activations and escalations that never materialized.

At this point, I demand the following:

Immediate activation of my line, with proof that the issue is truly resolved.

Full refund/credit for September, as I have had no service at all.

Compensation consideration for the additional costs I’ve incurred securing temporary connectivity to do my job.

A written acknowledgement from Webafrica of this mishandling, with a clear plan to ensure it does not happen again.

If these demands are not met within 7 business days, I will escalate this matter further through HelloPeter, ICASA, and other consumer protection bodies. I am also considering lodging a complaint with the Consumer Goods & Services Ombud (CGSO), as billing a customer without delivering services amounts to a violation of consumer rights.

This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. Webafrica’s negligence has cost me money, time, and peace of mind. Unless this is resolved immediately..

to make matters worse, Webafrica does not provide a functioning business line for clients to reach a live representative. The only available “support channel” is WhatsApp chat, which is slow, impersonal, and designed to deflect responsibility. Even the official Webafrica number is blocked from receiving calls.
This means customers like me are left stuck in endless chatbot loops, with no ability to escalate issues to a supervisor or speak to a human being directly. This is unacceptable for any service provider, let alone an ISP where connectivity is critical. It further demonstrates a lack of transparency, accountability, and customer care.
