Worst Internet Service in South-Africa

A business like Webafrica should be avoided at all costs. I was with them for more than 4 years. The service became so bad that I decided to switch to a new ISP. I was paying R 999 per month for the LTE service which should have been at least 10Mbps. Mine was 0.98Mbps on downloads and even less on uploads. It was as if I had no internet. To do my work I had to buy extra Data from my mobile provider and use my cell phone as a modem. That data costed me a fortune. I've complained via Whatsapp several times. They said they will escalate it but nothing happened. It is also a faceless and useless company because you cannot phone them and talk to someone. Eventually I moved to new ISP with a minimum of 20Mbps at a cost of R 695 and excellent service. You can phone them and talk to someone on the phone. Not with Webafrica. This is impossible!!! To try and cancel your subscription with Webafrica is something that cannot be done.. Eventually I moved all the money out of my bank account. They then sent me an e-mail and stacks of SMS"s to tell me that my payment failed. I responded by e-mail. They promised that they will credit me for the time I had no service. Nothing happened, they however still tried to withdraw money out of my account. I eventually had to change all my other debit orders by opening a new bank account so that payments from my insurance, medical fund etc, payments can go through. They tried again on Saturday to withdraw nearly R 4 000 from my bank account. They are like leeches that you cannot get rid of. On Monday the threatening messages started coming in again. They want to add my name to the credit bureau and I must even hand back my LTE modem that was in use for more than 4 years. It was advertised as a free modem. Now suddenly I must pay R 1 999 for it. They should not be in business at all. They are a disgrace for the ISP community. I sent an e-mail this morning again with NO response. Please avoid them. I will prefer to give them no star because one is way too high.
