Worst FTTH Provider
Web Africa has consistently provided me with my worst experiences as a service provider. It appears that the quality of their service is deteriorating day by day. Despite this, I have repeatedly given them chances, but they consistently disappoint their customers. Web Africa should be ashamed of their subpar customer service. It feels as though they believe they are doing customers a favour rather than providing a service we pay for.
Initially, my services were set up with a connection charge of R500, and no equipment was provided for my services. Fortunately, I had my own router, which I ended up using. However, my services were activated, and I was charged for a service that was not connected to my location for two weeks. Later, when I moved to a new home, I decided to continue with Web Africa for my FTTH services.
Upon moving, I was informed that I would be charged a cancellation fee at my old property and would need to pay another connection fee at the new property. I contested the cancellation charges because I had not received equipment from Web Africa, and I had not cancelled my services; I had simply moved home. After spending over three hours on calls and chats, someone finally investigated the matter and resolved the cancellation fee issue. However, I still agreed to pay the R500 connection fee again, despite the poor customer service I had experienced. Yet again, my services were activated, and I was charged for a service that was not connected to my new location for two weeks, and I had to spend continuous hours on calls and chats to rectify the situation.
Recently, as I prepared to move to a new home once more, I contacted Web Africa to transfer my service. The process seemed to be going smoothly until I was informed that I would need to pay for the connection again. This frustrated me greatly, but I still decided to give Web Africa another chance. I completed the home move process, but a few hours later, I received an SMS stating that my current services were unpaid, and a debit order had failed. When I attempted to contact Web Africa, I could only reach them through chat. To sum it up, the individual assisting me showed no interest, provided poor customer service, lacked ethics in handling customers, and seemed to have limited knowledge. refer to recent chat
I am deeply disappointed with the level of service that Web Africa offers its customers. Their approach to customer service is unacceptable, and they appear more focused on charging customers for every possible fee than on providing a reliable and efficient service.
