We recognise how disappointing it is to have a WiFi fault outstanding for 72 hours without the resolution you need. When you’re paying for a service, being without a working connection for several days can have a real impact, and we appreciate you raising this with us.We’ll continue to provide fault updates directly via SMS as progress is made. We’re also taking note of your feedback about the length of time the fault has remained unresolved and the impact this has had on your experience. We appreciate the opportunity to address this and to identify where we can improve the way we manage and communicate fault resolutions.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

This morning an Agent helped me reset my Router, it worked for awhile then became very slow. I did a speed test and there was hardly any download or upload. When I spoke to any Agent I was told I had reached my FUP and that things would be slowed down until next month. I use very little cover every day and anyone form WebAfrica can go and check. When my usage was sent the highest usage was on the days my wifi was not working at all 170 - 180 GB and on a normal day is only between 2.5 - 4.3. How is this possible when I couldn't even work. MTN needs to fix this asap as I'm not happy at all.

14 Sept 2026, 16:17Hello Jean,
We understand your concern regarding reaching the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) threshold, especially when your usual usage patterns appear significantly lower than the usage reflected during the period in question. We can appreciate why this has raised questions and caused frustration. After reviewing the account, we can confirm that the system reflects that the usage was generated by the SIM card linked to the service. The unusually high usage recorded on the days in question appears to have resulted primarily from upload traffic. Based on the volume of data consumed, the uploads were substantial enough to trigger the FUP threshold. To help prevent this from happening again in future, we recommend checking the data usage statistics on all connected devices, particularly any cloud backup, file synchronisation, security camera, software update, or file-sharing applications that may be uploading data in the background without being immediately noticeable.Should you require any further assistance, please feel free to continue engaging with us via direct message, and we'll gladly assist.
