Webafrica's Customer Service Is Absolutely Abysmal
Webafrica: How Many Times Must Customers Suffer Before You Care?
I honestly cannot believe I am back on HelloPeter complaining about Webafrica again. At this point, dealing with Webafrica has become a full-time job.
I have absolutely no idea how this company has convinced itself that it provides “customer service” because the experience is anything but.
Your WhatsApp support platform is quite possibly one of the most useless customer service channels I have ever had the misfortune of using. You spend forever trying to get help, repeating yourself, explaining the problem, and still somehow end up feeling like you are inconveniencing Webafrica by expecting them to actually assist you.
And now, to make matters worse, I recently activated a SECOND package through Vumatel with Webafrica.
Yes. A second service.
And I regret it already.
My LTE service was cancelled before my fibre was activated, despite me being explicitly told that the LTE would only be cancelled once the fibre was installed and operational.
Instead, I was left without an internet connection for THREE DAYS.
Three. Days.
I work from home. This isn't a luxury service I occasionally use to scroll Instagram. I need internet to work. Your failure to coordinate something as basic as cancelling one service only once another is active directly inconvenienced me and disrupted my ability to work.
And the most ridiculous part?
I was literally just on HelloPeter complaining about Webafrica about something else.
I haven't even had time to forget the previous frustration, and I'm already back.
That should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of your customer experience.
Webafrica seems to have mastered the art of creating problems, making customers chase you for solutions, and then hiding behind an automated WhatsApp platform that gets you absolutely nowhere.
Customers shouldn't have to fight this hard to receive a service they are PAYING FOR.
I don't know what is happening internally at Webafrica, but your customer service is seriously failing. And if this is how you treat customers who are paying for a second service, I can only imagine how you treat customers who haven't yet had enough.
At this point, I don't need another apology or a scripted response telling me someone will “look into it.”
I need accountability, competent customer service, and a company that actually does what it promises.
Webafrica, you don't have an internet problem.
You have a customer service problem.
We understand how disruptive it has been to be without your LTE service, especially when you rely on the connection for work.An escalation has been submitted to the relevant team to assist with reconnecting your LTE service and to review the current status. We’ve highlighted the urgency of the request so the team can assist with getting you connected again.Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

I have already made it very clear how urgent this situation is. Tomorrow will be four full days without an internet connection, and I should not have to simply sit and wait for an email or SMS with no indication of when I can actually expect my router to arrive.
I need you to provide me with a clear delivery date and expected delivery time and I also expect Webafrica to credit my account for the days that I have been without service.
I am extremely frustrated with the lack of urgency and communication throughout this process. Being told to wait for an automated SMS or email does not address my concern. I need someone to take ownership of this issue and give me a concrete solution.
I need this router delivered tomorrow. If delivery tomorrow cannot be guaranteed, then please provide me with the courier details and tracking number so I can track this delivery
Escalate this and come back to me with a concrete answer, rather than another generic update.
I would actually be so happy if I never had to deal with you guys again

We understand the urgency, especially with the service interruption now approaching four days. We’ve checked the router delivery status, and can confirm that the replacement router has been collected by Nology Couriers. The courier reference is DO***, which you can use to track the delivery directly with the courier. At this stage, we’re unable to provide a confirmed delivery time from our side, as the final delivery schedule is managed by Nology. However, the router is already with the courier and is progressing through the delivery process.Regarding the days without service, we’ll ensure the request for an appropriate account credit is reviewed based on the period your service has been unavailable. We recognise that you need a concrete update rather than another generic instruction to wait, and we hope the courier gets the router to you as quickly as possible.Kind regards,
The Webafrica Team

We’ve checked the account and can confirm that the credit of approximately R419 has not been removed. The credit has been app**** to your September invoice, which is why it is no longer showing as an available credit on the account. The amount has therefore been allocated towards your September billing.Warm regards,
