Webafrica you let me down

I have not had my fibre installation for a month yet and it’s been down twice. The first time for a few hours but my current experience has topped the bad service poll, way beyond any company I have ever dealt with in my entire working life. I am known for blowing my top for bad service, but this takes the cake. Our fibre connection went down on 24 February 2018 and was reported on their customer service line that it was a huge outage, so I left it in their “anticipated” capable hands. Monday 26 February: I phoned their service department and was told they would investigate it, nothing happened. Tuesday 27 February: I phoned again, held on for someone for over an hour, explained my situation and nothing happened. I later spoke to Ricardo who logged the call with Vumatel and said he would call me back, he did. Thank you, Ricardo, for logging the call and calling me back to say, it’s in Vumatel’s hands. Wednesday 28 February: I called again in the morning and spoke to Brad, whom I asked to put me through to someone senior, they passed me onto Mariska (I might have the name wrong) who told me it’s still with Vumatel. I contacted Vumatel through their Facebook page and demanded answers, in a not so friendly way. They rep**** and asked me to do some checks, which I did and said the problem was not on their side. Later someone from Webafrica phoned me back and said they will send a technician around – 4 hours later Dave arrives, resets the router and Vumatels fiber box, takes pictures of the back of the fibre box and tells me there is nothing else he can do but send a report through to Webafrica. Thursday 1 March: Spoke to Moneeba, after hanging on the line for 30 minutes, this time I requested to speak to the CEO – Tim Wyatt Gunning. I was transferred to Ghaled who told me they are not sure of what the problem is and will keep me posted. No-one phoned, emailed or text me with feedback, so I called again at 16.30. Please understand by this time I am livid. My customers are screaming for service, we can’t work properly without a proper connection. If I knew these problems would arise with a very unstable fibre network, I would have kept my extremely reliable Telkom ADSL line, 8Mbps is a lot faster than nothing. We have a small web development company and rely highly on proper internet connection. Especially for our overseas clients. With some shame I climbed down Ghaled’s throat for not getting back to me. They still don’t know what the problem is. Here I sit with no connection. A list of clients that are screaming at me for deadlines. I don’t pass the buck and tell them it’s Webafrica’s fault, I bite the bullet and plod on with my VERY SLOW 3G. Why are you in the business of communications when you won’t give me your CEO’s contact details so that I can communicate. No-one should be that glorified that they won’t speak to an irate customer.

I spoke to Ghaled yesterday afternoon and he promised he would call me back at 9.00 with a status. It is now 10.30 and no internet since last Saturday 24 September.

You asked me to send you my details and I expected some sort of immediate response. But low and behold this is the response I get... Dear George, Thanks for reaching out. We have received your request and an enquiry (ID) has been created for you. A member of our Support team will review your request and get back to you (usually within 48 hours). Forty eight hours? I have been waiting for service for 144 hours already, how badly can 48 hours effect my business?
