Webafrica worst of the worst service provider ever
I gave Webafrica a 1 star rating because there isn't a 0. I would not recommend this service provide at all to anyone. I have never experienced the worse service a customer can receive from a internet provider. You are unable to have a proper telephonic conversation voice to voice as their contact number refers you to a whatsapp number. You then have to try and explain yourself in a written message to someone about your problem. I placed my order on the 4th October 2022 for fibre lines to be installed and they requested that I make a payment for the delivery of the router, which I did the same day. They sent me a sms saying they are still awaiting my payment of R249 before they can send me my router. I sent a photo on whatsapp of the payment I made. I didn't hear from them regarding my delivery of the router. On the 8th, 14th, 19th of October 2022 I kept sending whatsapp messages and 4 different customer service personal was dealing with my whatsapp messages. Not one of them was able to give me a straight answer to what was going on with my order or delivery. I received an sms on the 17th October 2022 from Webafrica saying my line is active. How it could be active, I don't know as I am still waiting for my router to be delivered and installation to be done from outside my property to inside my property. I then contact Webafrica again on whatsapp on the 19th October 2022 and they confirmed that the fibre line was activate and they were still awaiting Vumatel to come back to them with feedback. One the 20th October 2022 my router eventually arrived. I contact Webafrica on the 21st October 2022 to let them know that the router had arrived and when can I expect installation to take place. I also received a debit order for the amount of R291.46 for pro-rata data "used" for an "active line". The problem is after I have explained to them over a hundred times about the property setup (property use to be one household, then over 10 years ago it was converted into about 8 small garden flat units with own private gardens and driveways). They keep telling me that the line is activate and once again waiting for Vumatel to confirm this. I then contacted them again via whatsapp on the 25th October 2022 to find out what is going on but still couldn't get anyone to tell me what was going on and they were awaiting Vumatel to come back to them (same old same old excuse). Then on the 2nd November 2022 to my surprise, I received a notification from my bank a debit order for the amount of R499.00 was deducted for my monthly payment. How the heck can you deduct a monthly payment for a non existent fibre line and 0 installation been done. They are quick to deduct your money but not quick to provide you with a service. By all means deduct my payment if I have used it. I contacted Webafrica via whatsapp as I have just had enough. I told the consultant to cancel my order as I don't want anything to do with Webafrica or fibre lines. They sent me a whatsapp message that I must accept saying (which I didn't) " Free Setup Fee - when you signed up for your service we paid for all, or a part of, your set up fees (connection and/or installation). If you cancel your service within 12 months of going active (2022-10-17) you will be billed the full amount on 2022-11-12 as follows: Installation Fee : R1725-00 and Connection Fee : R1010-00 total R2735-00. Your router must be returned or delivered 20 days after your service is cancelled otherwise you will pay R999-00 for the router. I have made ideal treats of going to Carte Blanche and letting them try and solve the issue for me, but that didn't even seem to help an inch the consultant wasn't even fazed by my treat. My last hope was to warn all you people out there if you are considering to join Webafrica as an internet fibre service provider, don't. I have never been so disappointed in my entire life. They didn't even bother to send a technical person out to the property to investigate what the situation was. If you don' contact them via whatsapp they sure won't contact you. There is absolutely NO Customer Care Service at all. I feel like I'm messaging on blind eyes as I feel like they can't read or understand your messages clearly.
