Webafrica was a big mistake: use another ISP

Webafrica was a big mistake.

I have just experienced the worst servics provided by an ISP. I am only 7 days into my contract and my services have just been suspended and the ISP says I need to pay R750 immediately or my services will stay suspended. I was never informed that this service is payable in advance therefore I never budgeted for this amount. And I am also informed that even though my services have been suspended at the end of the month I will still need pay the full amount plus for the new month.

I tried to cancel this contract because I am still within 7 days of being active. I was given a long list of charges amounting close to R5000 that I would have to pay for this cancellation. When I agreed to all these costs now they are refusing to cancel the contract because it is suspended. This needs ti be attended to by ICASA. This is truely the worst service received from an ISP and this is all within 7 days.

Surely there is another ISP that treats their clients better than this.

My advice is stay away from Webafrica and rather consider other providers.
