Webafrica - useless beyond words

I don't know if anyone checks or ever reads anything on Hellopeter, but in case someone stumbles upon this review, heed my advice, stay away from Webafrica. Absolute worst ISP I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. Decided to move from my current ISP over to Webafrica, worst mistake ever. It all started nice, called their sales line, spoke with someone who was all too eager to assist me to get signed up and to add my banking details. I asked this person a very specific question relating to potential downtime. I wanted to make sure that, if we do move to Webafrica, what can I do to avoid being without internet. Again, this person was quick to assist, telling me that if I pay now she can add a note on my account to insure that when my current ISP cancels the service on their side, Webafrica can simply continue on, as long as I make a payment immediately, so no down time at all. All this seemed fine, I mean, she told me everything will be fine and even said she would ensure that Webafrica start preparing everytihng 2 days prior to my start date. Webafrica then sends me a message over the weekend to advise that I need to contact them so they can get the number from underneath the router and they now require a proof of address, so when Monday came I called them only to be met with the realization that the sales person, who promised me no down time, had **** just to get us to sign up. That, instead of the estimated 24 hours down time initially mentioned, it would be closer to 48 hours or more due to the time of year. Needless to say, I cancelled, but now comes the mission, getting a refund from Webafrica. In case you didn't know, you are unable to speak with anyone at Webafrica unless it is with sales, everything else in conducted over WhatsApp. How many issues do you have to have for a company to move all support and account query services to Whatsapp with no other way to speak with anyone. Utterly pathetic, from being **** to by a sales person just so they can get a sale, to having to fight over WhatsApp just to get my money back, which I am still struggling with. Someone once told me that you don't have to make all the mistakes in life yourself, you can learn from someone else mistakes, so please in case someone sees this, learn from my mistake, don't even call these guys unless you want sky high blood pressure.
