Webafrica, this one is worth avoiding !
I had a contract with these people for two and a half years. In February 2025 my modem stopped working. I spent two frustrating days interacting with their bot to try and resolve the issue with no luck. Eventually I requested cancellation of the service. An agent phoned me to try and change my mind, but I was not interested. They sent me an email confirming the cancellation and notifying me that I needed to give them 30 days notice, so my service would be terminated in April. They also said I must return the modem or they would bill me R999. I returned the modem the same day to the depot in Cape Town. Webafrica didn't cancel the debit order !! I tried calling them, but was put through to their bot. I tried interacting with the bot again, but after asking a bunch of inane questions it said it couldn't help me and I must wait for an agent to help. No response for the rest of the afternoon. The following morning I checked back on the bot and an agent had popped up at 7am, and as I hadn't responded the agent closed the chat !!
The debit order ran until July and then in August they put through the R999 for the modem, which I had returned to them !!
This company is infuriating. The only way to interact is via the bot, which is useless unless you wish to sign up. The service at sign up is sparkling, that is how they catch you. I would highly recommend that anyone considering an internet service provider NOT EVEN consider this company.
How can they run an internet service when there is NO support. Willie the BOT is just ridiculous. trying to get them to replace it
