WebAfrica Theft
- I had a service with WebAfrica for my fibre. - I logged a ticket to discuss options given that I needed to move, - It took over 20 days for my ticket to be looked into, just shy of 10 days left I had my service cancelled as WebAfrica failed to address me.
- I was discussing the matter with a Heinrich Dourie who attempted to contact me a couple of times. I missed ome arranged call and then he called again at times discussed that I could not take the call.
- Heinrich at that time still failed to address my ticket as requested. I requested the complaints handling procedure to ensure that I could follow up with all relevant request but was ignored till date.
- I even logged a 2nd ticket to see if someone would then contact me. However this eas never addressed.
- I was initially advised some BS story that my ticket ended up in the wrong department.
- Given the stance on no resolution from WebAfrica my service got cancelled.
- Yesterday 10/10/2019 I get correspondence from them stating I owe them a fee of R1439 in reference to installation claw back, the very thing I got in touch with to avoid.
I immediately called and was on hold with billing for 20 minutes whereafter I had to cancel the call and go to work.
I emailed Heinrich with my formal complaint and advised there is no authority for such funds to be debited without my concent which I was not giving until we resolved this issue.
I was ignored. This morning my bank notified me of monies debited (even though WebAfrica noted in their email if it is a debit it will go off at the end of the month)
This was not the case, and I have also notified my bank of *****. If this is not addressed I trust WebAfrica will ensure all relevant customer service information is gathered for the ombudsman where further action will be taken.
