Webafrica Support is Shocking

Since Webafrica no longer provides support via email (or any at all).

My Vumatel line stopped working on Sunday the 10th of January 2021.

Link Africa technicians have been out to the premises twice in this time.

Below are 7 different ISP/Vumatel reference numbers which I have received in the last 11 days.

ISP 270243 – 11 January 2021 ISP 271030 – 12 January 2021 ISP 273816 – 15 January 2021

Vumatel Reference number:

395091 - 13 January 2***8 - 14 January 2***6 - 18 January *** - 19 January 2021

I have spent about 12 hours in the last 11 days, phoning both in the morning and again in the evening. Legally I am expected to work from home but because of the absolute ineptitude of both the telephonic consultants and technicians I am unable to do so.

I have wasted invaluable time desperately trying to fix this problem and still I somehow do not have a resolution.

I have been told on countless occasions that the problem has been resolved and yet, I STILL DO NOT HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION!

There is clearly an incentive for support staff to close tickets as soon as possible, but it appears at the expensive of actually resolving the issue. Surely, before closing a ticket of “no Internet Connection”, the support consultant should call the customer and actually confirm the issue has been resolved?

My invoice for January will need to be placed on hold and then prorate for the days I actually had service.

I have been a client for several years, Covid-19 is no excuse for awful service. Please can someone actually do their job and assist with resolving my issue?
