Webafrica's ongoing breach of contract.

Webafrica divides the bandwidth they provide into various tiers. For example, they offer to provide A amount of bandwidth at B price in one package, C bandwidth for D price in another, etc.

I agreed to use their 1Mb/s uncapped ADSL service. The trouble is, from 8am to 5pm I receive 0.05Mb/s.
That is one twentieth the amount of bandwidth they promised to provide.

When I complained they stated, \You're a 3 star client. Your bandwidth has been deprioritized during
business hours". When I continued to complain my bandwidth became bad after hours. When I asked about that I was told"

Hello CallMeEM,

As previously discussed, this package doesn't seem to meet your needs, hence, we advised you: to upgrade to a Home Capped account because you won't deal with star rating nor de-prioritisation. Furthermore, we advise you to lower your usage and schedule all downloads for 12-6am to increase your star rating to 4/5 star.

Our uncapped accounts have an AUP attached to it which governs the throughput on an account at a particular time. This is why an uncapped requires more management from a customer's side than a capped, as you need to schedule all your downloads for the Download Plus period (12-6am daily) and monitor your star rating to ensure you stay out of the deprioritised rating.

Another point to mention is that you're on a Home 1mbps uncapped account which has the lowest thresholds and due to the speed of the account you will notice the speed changes more severely than those on the bigger accounts.

Ultimately, there's nothing more we can or assist you with if you're not willing to make changes to better your experience.

Mkhululi
