So we have had wifi from webafrica for a month now and i am sitting in a mall to type this review because we have not had a single megabyte of data from them. The person who lived in our flat before us, did not cancel their contract and only moved their router. So when we ordered the wifi, it took 2 weeks for them to sort that out and actually install the router. We were glad to let go of the long wait but then the wifi still wasn't working. For a week my husband talked to them over whatsapp and for a whole week they insisted the problem is on our side and we must restart the router. Over and over. And over. After a week my husband finally got a hold of someone competent that saw that there were two routers and two adresses on our profile. And the connection apparently ran through the other router. For what reason i cannot imagine. But the request was put through to vumatel to fix it. After a few days, nothing happened and my husband had to try to contact webafrica again. They then said Vumatel did not correct it and put the request through again. After more days passed, they said they worked on the network or something. Our wifi is still not working. BUT they did deduct money from us. Which is ridiculous since they have provided very poor service and not even the service we were paying for, namely wifi. The reason we urgently need wifi is because i am studying online and i have due dates. In a few dates, i will miss my due dates unless the wifi is fixed or i buy data. But the whole point of wifi was to save money on data to afford the wifi and now we have to pay for both.
Here as some suggestions to webafrica: Don't put an email address on your website if your email is only going to say that you don't use email anymore and i should whatsapp you. Don't make the only way to contact you, whatsapp, if i need to wait 3 hours for an agent to respond, just to have the conversation terminated because i did not respond within 30minutes. We are also busy people. We also work. We cannot sit and stare at our phones the whole day. Give your employees better training than "restart the router " and default message about what could be wrong. Or if they should know better, track how they are helping people. Don't make it so hard to contact you. Get an alternative number or something. And if you make customers go through such nonsense, at least have the decency to wait until the wifi works before you deduct money or give discount the first month or do something. I also work in retail and i would be fired if my service were that pathetic.
