Webafrica needs to shut their doors.
It was compulsory to give one star which is still not deserved. My Internet with Webafrica got cut off on Monday 28 December 2020 with no request from myself, and no notice from the ISP. When I contacted them on that day, they informed me that there was a Power Surge on Vumatel's side, and that the fix should be done the same day, and I will receive an email for confirmation. It's 3 weeks later, with no Internet. Wasted 100's of Rands on calls that led nowhere, got the run around with the Watsapp Chat which promises quick responses, but it takes at least an hour for anyone to make contact with you. It seems that the Watsapp channel is a much easier way for agents to pass the buck or simply not do anything. After much run-around they informed me that Vumatel was responsible for terminating the line. After 2 weeks without Internet, I was assisted by William Moss who logged a ticket for reconnection on Monday 11 January 2021, which was supposed to take 3 days to resolve. Still nothing to date. I called Vumatel today, only to be informed by Pumeza Pula that the line is still active, but that the Internet Package was cancelled by Webafrica on 28 December 2020, even though they billed me for R1300 for the month of January 2021. I don't know what else to do except share my experience here. I have logged a complaint with ISPA (ispa.org.za) to garner assistance. I DESPERATELY URGE all unsatisfied Webafrica clients to visit this site and lodge your complaints!! Seeing as there is hardly any contact to resolve this, I will keep everyone updated via Hellopeter on the hour.
