Webafrica – Nearly 2 Months of Frustration, Poor Service and No Resolution

I would like to express my absolute frustration and disappointment with the level of service I have received from Webafrica.

I have been struggling with this issue for almost two months, and despite countless phone calls, emails, Proofs of Payment, and promises from various agents, my matter remains unresolved.

The service from the agents has been extremely disappointing. Time and time again I have been given different explanations, transferred from one department to another, and promised callbacks that never happen.

Today was the final straw. I called at 08:00 in the morning, and by 15:00 in the afternoon, I was still waiting for assistance and a resolution. How can a customer be expected to wait an entire working day for assistance on a matter that has already been ongoing for nearly two months?

The issue itself was caused by administrative errors, including an incorrect payment link and the incorrect allocation of payments between my old address (63 Drakenstein) and my new address (30 Bergtuin). Because of these errors, I was forced to make additional payments and am still waiting for a refund.

What is most concerning is that nobody appears to take ownership of the matter. Every time I call, I have to explain the entire situation from the beginning. No one follows through, no one calls back, and no one provides a clear answer. As a paying customer, I find this completely unacceptable. Customers should not have to spend months chasing refunds and corrections for mistakes that were not their fault. I am calling on Webafrica management to urgently investigate this matter, provide a full account reconciliation, and process my refund immediately. After almost two months of stress, frustration, wasted time, and broken promises, enough is enough.

Hi Genevieve,
We understand how frustrating and exhausting this situation has been, especially after dealing with it for nearly two months. Having to repeatedly follow up, explain the issue from the beginning each time, and still not see progress on something like a refund is not the experience we aim to deliver.
A refund request should never feel this difficult or require this level of persistence, and it’s clear that the lack of ownership and consistent communication has added to your frustration. This is not the standard of service we strive to provide.
The matter has been escalated to the Finance Team, with a request for them to urgently review the refund status and provide you with clear feedback as soon as possible. There is continued engagement with them to ensure the matter is actively driven to resolution, without any further delays or repeated follow‑ups on your side.
If you require any further assistance while this is being attended to, you’re welcome to reach out via direct message on Hello Peter, and we’ll ensure it continues to receive focused attention.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

Thank you for your response.
I appreciate the acknowledgement of my frustration; however, I have heard similar assurances for almost two months without any resolution. The issue is not only the refund itself but the amount of time, effort, and stress I have had to endure trying to correct an administrative error that was not of my making.
I made the required payments in good faith. A payment intended for my new address at 30 Bergtuin was incorrectly allocated to my previous account at 63 Drakenstein, which resulted in me having to make an additional payment. I was also provided with an incorrect payment link, further complicating the matter.
What concerns me is that despite numerous calls, emails, Proofs of Payment, and promises of callbacks and refunds, I am still waiting. Being told that the matter has been escalated to Finance is the same response I have received previously, yet no one has been able to provide a clear reconciliation, a confirmed refund amount, or a payment date.
At this stage, I require more than another escalation. I require:
• A full account reconciliation showing exactly how each payment was allocated.
• Written confirmation of the refund amount due to me.
• A confirmed date on which the refund will be paid.
• An explanation as to why this matter has taken almost two months to resolve.
I trust that the Finance Team will treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and provide a final resolution rather than another promise to investigate.
I look forward to receiving a definite outcome and payment confirmation.
