Wow, Webafrica, really gave me a low blow today, I have two Internet services with them, at two different addresses, so when I needed to cancel the one service, then I really saw Webafrica's true colours come out, now when you first sign up for your service, you get your modem "for Free" and "free" installation, but what they don't tell you, is then when you need to cancel their service they will bill you for your "free" Modem of R999 and Your "Free Installation" gets charged as well at R1725.00 now all and all if you cancel this immediately you must pay both these, and it comes to almost R3000, and it will cost you R2724 to cancel your service. I don't know about you, but this sounds to me like a huge *******. I mean, how can you punish your customers for cancelling your service like this. So, you need to give them 30 Day notice to cancel the service, so you don't have to pay this amount, you just need to pay 2 month of service before it can actually be cancelled, even if that service is not being used for two months, so R750 for two months is R1500 that you pay them for not providing any service, so you can score R1224 rand, if you don't want it cancelled immediately. You know this is stuff that will make me cancel my service completely as I don't like companies coming out with such underhanded business strategies, I just need to make people aware, that Webafrica's internet is great, but don't ever try to cancel, otherwise you will be in for a rude awakening.
